Concealer/brightener under eye

I'm returning to the work place next week in a very made up environment. Ive noticed that my eyes are dark and tired and my trusty grey eye shadow is making it look worse.

I use double Wear foundation but I'm looking for a Concealer or brightener that won't equal the cost of that.

Any tips?

I used to use bobbi browns peach corrector. It was decent but not very long lasting and ££ for the month or so it lasted me. I grabbed Pixi peach corrector in markies just as a punt. I'm really impressed. Cheaper, larger pot and for me seems to last longer. Hth xxx

Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer is excellent and cheap.

My latest purchase is the Maybelline one that nice biscuit linked. So far I think it's really good. L'Oreal touche magique is good too. I've tried loads, and I'm v pleased with the maybelline stuff.

Bobbi Brown correctors work, but you need to be matched at a counter, they come in dozens of shades, also let them show you how to use them because they have a very thick consistency.

Another vote for the Maybe line one.

It's a tad in the pricey side, but I love YSL Touch Eclat. I find you don't need much to make a huge difference! I'd definitely recommend!

Have a look at la girl pro concealers - they come in loads of shades, about £2.50 online. They also do orange and yellow correctors which are great for the undereye.

I never use concealers undereye as I don't like the feel but these feel relatively ok to me, just need to get used to feel!

For shade just google your foundation shade and see what others your shade are using.

I use the Maybelline and a corrector and the corrector is miles better, a hassle to apply through. It slides off eye gels, or maybe it's me using too much eye gel, and is really thick, so has to be warmed up to go on smoothly, but once it does, it's great.

I think Bobbi Brown also do an intensive one, which is more of a serum. I think I'll try that one next.

I use Becca under eye brightening cream then he maybelline age rewind concealer. Before I got the becca one, I used NYX dark circle corrector and it's cheap and works really well. The Becca one is pricey but both work good and I use between both depending on how dry my under eye area is.

I wouldn't. It's essentially a highlighter not a concealer.

CaraAspen - I know it's a highlighter :) I personally find it wonderful for dark circles under the eyes, much better than concealer. I'd just use concealer for covering up spots/blemishes

I second the Maybelline Age Rewind.
I just wish the sponge applicator was half the size, as the under eye area is so small.

I use NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer: http://narscosmetics.co.uk/enGB/radiant-creamy-concealer/999NACRCC0001.html?dwvarr_999NACRCC0001_color=7845012344#start=1

£23 on their website but it lasts a while

I've always used Boots No 7 - it costs about £7 & there's a wide range of shades.

I use the maybelline too. I bought the light but it made my dark circles ashy grey. So I bought the nude, which matches my skin perfectly and I just dab a bit of light on afterwards to brighten.

I've tried a hell of a lot of concealers and this product is the best so far for colour and texture.

My next issue is stopping a fine line appearing in the under eye area when using concealer that isn't visible naked (any product causes it, not just this). I feel I'm trading discolouration for wrinkles! Any advice on that? I don't use a primer so will try that next.

Calories do one, a brightening undereye concealer. It's one of the few things I repeat buy.

Ok I'm being really thick - bought the mabelline one but can't open it. It it just the clear bit at the top I need to twist or the burgundy section too?

hardheadedwoman yank of the plastic top and twist the 'body' of the tube/bottle - anywhere from the wine coloured bit. It makes a clicky sound. Twist until you see a bit of concealer on the spongey bit.

I've tried YSL touche eclat. I really don't like it. It is the only skin care product I have ever bought that irritated my skin.

I agree with whoever said the maybelline sponge is too big. It still is a great product. I really like it.
