So I've been aware of the CT range and had a look at the counter a few times but had dismissed it as over marketed hype. Kat on DMBL40 yesterday was raving about her products so I happened to be in Selfridges today and somehow found myself sat in one of the chairs.
Well blow me down, the Colour chameleon eye shadow pencil is miraculous!! I have green eyes and got the Bronze Garnet - I look freaking beautiful and I never say that. Bit much for the school run but hey ho!
Then the bloody Magic Cream - god it's £70 lord help me but nothing and I mean nothing has ever erased those pesky lines I get under the eye - one little dab of cream and my eyes are smooth - look like I got Botox. I just got a sample of the cream but I know what's going on my birthday wish list!
Kind of pissed off that the range is so good as can hear my credit card groaning! The girl also put a really nice lipstick on but I was so mesmerised by my eyes that I forget which one it was. Another day!

I love all her make up except her foundation.

What does it do? Is it a moisturiser or concealer ? I have developed terrible eye bags/wrinkles over the last 6months

I've heard mixed reviews of her stuff, and after seeing the woman herself interviewed on In the Bathroom with Sali Hughes she came across awfully, so fake and fawning and just promoting her own stuff, it really put me off her.

The promise of smoothing out eyes is tempting though.... I know that drinking enough water, getting enough sleep, keeping up with me skincare regime does a lot. But I'm not always great at doing all that!

I had a make up artist try the foundation and a lipstick on me in selfridges and it was so horrific I ended up having to hide behind another make up stand and wipe it straight off. I think the products are a very mixed bag!

I just bought the Pillow Talk lip liner and followed the instructions and drew round the outline of my lips, not over it. I freaked out because I looked like I had had lip injections. My lips look huge. Not sure if I have the confidence to wear it out.

I've seen a few of the mid range bloggers talk about them recently so suspect they've done a pr blitz.

I bought an eye pencil / shadow on a whim but I don't know if it's needs warmed or sharpened or what but it's very hard to use.

So I drink 2 litres water a day, exercise, eat well, get maybe 7 hours sleep night, could do better with that, use a very complicated skincare regime with lots of actives and steps so I'm not beauty naïve. I try lots of different serums and creams that promise to smooth eyes - this magic cream isn't particularly marketed for eyes but it's the only place I put it so far (not sure I will put it elsewhere as it's incredibly rich and I can still get breakouts) and my under eye area is smoothed out - no fine lines whatsoever and I'm 44 and definitely have lines. It hasn't reduced my bags nor is it a concealer - I just applied it on top of my usual concealer\foundation where it had got a bit crepey by lunchtime and it totally smoothed it all out.

Yes she's a bit of an acquired taste Phoenix. Very Ab Fab Smile

I have 2 of her lipsticks and like them both a lot. Very pricey though

I know Lotta, that was why I had avoided it until now as I just know that she has got to where she has with her brand because of who she knows. So I was really sceptical but have been proven wrong.

I bought my mum the advent calendar at Christmas and she was very keen. I used a sample of the magic cream and didn't notice any visible difference to be honest.

I do have my eye on the pillow talk lipstick though and I have green eyes so might be tempted by the Bronze Garnet thingie .

Same thing happened to me! £160 later I had the Uptown Girl kit. I wear it for work and feel much more professional than with my usual bare face.

Mascara is hopeless though. I'm a panda by noon!

Totally agree with those who have said the foundation and mascara are lousy- yes yes yes! Terrible products.
However, I also adore the colour chameleon pencils and the cream eyeshadow. And I LOVE their Liv it Up and Coachella Coral lipsticks.

Tatlerer, I wore Coachella Coral today for the first time and was impressed. Lovely colour. Got my eye on Liv It Up next

Love CT and totally love the Foundation and concealer! In fact I love it all except the Wonderglow primer! Total waste of money imo. Gonna bung it on eBay actually, I hardly used it. I've got the bronzed garnet eye stick and having green eyes, it looks amazing on me!!

Lotta I'm not brave enough to wear Coachella Coral by day but Liv it up is a lovely neutral with just enough colour to make me feel like I'm wearing lipstick!

Interesting. On the 'new foundation' hunt before Christmas I tried two different CT foundations picked - and was wholly unimpressed with them. And to be honest all that gold , and mirrors and lights .... too much !

Tried miracle Cream too and it didn't suit my skin.

I had a bit of a bloody massive CT splurge.

If anyone wants any feedback on what I rate/don't let me know.

Picture of shame below Blush.

Do it Tatlerer, it's not a crazy colour, just a nice peachy coral. Totally fine for daytime

Coachacella Coral is probably my least favourite lipstick I have.

Having said that it's so personal re: the colour.

My absolute favourite is Bond Girl. I think I'll sob if that is ever discontinued.

Also love Walk of Shame and Love Liberty.

It is so personal Eats. I don't think I could pull off any of those three colours

i like some of her stuff from looking at the website, but its an expensive mistake to make if i got the wrong stuff, so have now just bought a sample of the magic cream on ebay, and it works as good as you are all saying then £70 quid is cheap considering how much i do spend on stuff to smooth out the wrinkles inc getting botox, i wont stop getting that but may be able to spread out the times i do get it a bit

My natural lip colour is quite rosy. I look terrible with very nude colours - really washed out.

Bond Girl seems quite dark to some people but it's probably only a couple of shades different than my lips.

I really like:

  • the lipsticks
  • lip liners
  • colour chameleon eye pencils
  • beach sticks
  • eye quads
  • brushes
  • powder
  • powder blush
  • bronze and glow
  • the special edition colour of youth cream blush

I don't like:
  • the mascaras (have both and they smudge terribly)
  • brow pencil (very hard)
  • magic foundation (it really sticks to any dry bits of skin)

Am meh about:
  • the concealer
  • under eye corrector
  • the eye pencils
  • wonder glow
  • light wonder foundation
  • cream eye shadow

Re: the skin care - it's all really rich, which works well for me as I have dry skin. If you have combo/oily I'd pass tbh.

  • the cleansing balm is ok but much prefer my rodial/eve lom
  • the eye cream is nice but not revolutionary
  • magic cream is lovely if you have dry skin
  • night cream is super rich - my favourite - but it won't work for a lot of people
  • lip balm is ok - no better than lanolips/burts bees
  • supermodel body is really nice - lovely glow to the skin without being "glittery"

I got the ingenue kit with the coachella coral lipstick, and really like it, especially with the lipgloss on top. Really liked most of what I've tried so far. Haven't used the mascara yet, but liked everything else.
