£200 to spend on a purse/wallet

I have decided (VERY unusually for me!) to treat myself to a beautiful leather purse. I am the worlds worst person for having bank cards etc rolling around loose in my bag, and need to get organised!!

I want something simple and classic, in a lovely muted brown or grey (or would consider a lovely pastel colour I think?).
Real leather, and something that will age well.

I am totally clueless about things like this. A friend has one of the Marc Jacobs wallets and I really like that...can anyone suggest anything else though?
Many thanks.

Pastel leather is going to look tatty much quicker than black brown or grey unfortunately. Softer leathers will also wear quicker.
Liberty do some beautiful purses but they might be a bit brighter than what you're looking for.
DKNY and Ted Baker do hard wearing purses made from tougher ( and coated) leather around the £150 mark.

Lots of choice out there but can't go wrong with Marc Jacobs for a strong good looking purse

Aspinal of London.

I've had one for years and it looks like new.

Outstanding quality. How enough something like this.

I've also had a few from Liberty.

I love my Mulberry purse. Not sure how much it was as I bought it duty free, but I love it and will use it until the day I die.

Mulberry here as well. Mine is four years old and looks brand new still. I use it every day. I think I paid £274 for it.

Another one for Aspinal, I have one in patent leather and after 4 years I would not say it looks new but it looks really good.

I had a beautiful Dior purse years ago and became softer with use as a nice leather will so I also suggest not getting one that's too soft.

Mulberry so beautiful purses in a good range of colours.

My current purse is Fossil, very reasonably priced, lots of room for receipts/cards etc and the leather is lovely. Much cheaper than your budget too so you could buy something else too Smile

Coccinelle purses are around £100. They have a good selection of styles and colours.

I agree about getting avoiding pastel colours.

Ted Baker have a lovely grey one at the moment. I think it's probably around the 100 mark. I have two from there and I love them both one and two years later still look perfect

Why?

It's a lot of money to spend on something that sits inside your handbag.

Save up more more and buy a lovely handbag.Hmm

Because she wants one EatsShit. Maybe she already has a lovely handbag.

I've had Radley purses They last well. Fossil - zip ends on both the main zip and internal zip came off within months.

Mulberry. Or failing that, Aspinals.

I paid £210 for my Mulberry purse from the York outlet and it's still as stunning as the day I bought it.
