Can you help me figure out what to do with these lines? (pics included)

I am 23 but recently I have noticed these lines under my eyes.. They seem worse with makeup which is why i've included that in the pic, so I'm not sure if I just need to find a better primer, foundation or concealer or if it's wrinkles that have appeared and I need to look into a good eye cream etc.? Is anyone more the wiser and can suggest what I need to do? Thanks in advance!

You have the lovely skin of a 23 year old and they just look like smile lines to me.
You definitely do not need any foundation - your skin is great.
Sorry if this is completely unhelpful!

aw Kennington that's lovely of you to say thankyou! Grin I think I may just be being paranoid, I'm making an effort to overhaul my skincare routine lately as I just used to use makeup wipes etc. so maybe I'm just noticing things I never used to! I guess they look natural and normal... Thanks for the reality check Blush

You look absolutely fine to me! But if you think the lines become noticeable with make-up then perhaps your eye make up is settling in them, making them look more than they are. Some waterproof liner and mascara might help prevent that.

However, I think it's one of those things you only notice yourself, while anyone else just sees your nice eyes and skin!

You have wonderful eyelashes - are they fake? If so, could you tell me what brand they are?

You look gorgeous. Please don't worry!

Some good beauty advice I was given in my twenties is that the under eye area is very delicate so don't use any make up on it (concealer etc.) then you are less likely to get wrinkles/fine lines in years to come. I mean years though, you have nothing to fret about now.

I'm 40, I have those lines and I have them in photos when I was 4 so I tend not to worry about them!

I'd say they are normal but maybe get a eye cream and a concealer that didn't crease, I like Dior Skinflash highlighter, also don't powder the eye area and don't use too much makeup under your eyes as too much will crease up. If you prime just dab a little bit under the eyes before makeup using your ring finger as it's more gentle on the delicate skin. Also do not worry as you look lovely. Wink

I see children with those lines, I doubt they are wrinkles, they are just you and give your face character. You're pretty, please don't worry about it or heaven forbid start messing with your face. Get a good eye cream, kiehls avocado eye cream is nice and it's not expensive. Lisa Eldrige has raved about it.

Thank you Menssanaincorporesano yes they are! Had a fresh set yesterday. They are 3D lashes, I'm not sure of the exact brand but they give a much thicker look but are super lightweight so you can barely feel them on your eyelids compared to other brands I've tried.

And thanks Gunpowder and RJnomore1 I've been looking online and think I can see now that their pretty normal lines for all ages so I feel quite stupid now for worrying!

BusterGonad8 and Maudlinmaud thank you so much for your advice! I will try to keep makeup away from the area and see if that helps. I also don't use any eye cream of any type yet so will look into the Kiehls one, an avocado one sounds delicious! Smile

I've gone through phases of having those lines. They come and go. I'm not sure if its more related to tiredness or sugar and alcohol.

burnishedsilver it would make sense if it was down to tiredness, I don't exactly get my 8 hours every night - who does Wink

thank you all for your advice!

My three year old daughter has those lines, and I think they're lovely.

Can I just say my 8 year old boy with beautiful skin has those too, if I were you I'd just treat myself to a nice eye cream to stop real wrinkles in there steps if you are worried. They are not wrinkles your skin looks lovely! Grin

The lines are part of your lower eyelid, my 2 kids have them too.
