I don't look anything like Julianna Margulies

I sure I'm older, I'm certainly fatter, my jaw isn't as defined, my hair is lighter and not as thick at the front, BUT this picture is the nearest I can find to my current hairstyle, and when it's done at the hairdresser it's very similar. However, after many years of wearing glasses I've recently had laser surgery and while I'm delighted with the results, my face looks naked, and all forehead. The surgeon who did it joked when I had my assessment that I'd look strange to myself for a while, and not to go rushing for a nose job for at least a year, so it may be that I'm just not used to how i look yet. (And oddly enough my nose does look long without glasses). But I think a new hairstyle would mean I dont feel as naked as I currently do. Suggestions for styles?

No idea about hairstyles but just wanted to say, i went through something similar when i started back to wearing contacts to work. I just couldn't get used to my face. It felt i looked crap without my glasses. I also could see my imperfections more! I know it isn't the same, but give yourself a chance to get used to the new you. I also felt, other people making comments like Oh you look so different without your glasses didn't help as i felt i looked worse! I think a new style would be a good idea and also maybe new make up to enhance your eyes.

neveradullmoment, yes! People keep saying things to me like 'oh, have you got contacts? I loved your glasses, you looked great in them'. Well thanks for that. It's wonderful to be able to see, don't regret it for a moment, but I do look very odd. And still have dents on nose as well, so I do look as if I've only just taken my glasses off.

How about something like this? Not too different from what you have but with a bit more face coverage.

DS always tells me I look weird when I'm not wearing my glasses.

Oh, I like that one. It's not too scary a change, but a sort of upgrade on what I currently have.
