Which is more versatile in your opinion please? I'm leaning towards oxblood.

Cosmicglitterpug Wed 25-Jan-17 15:57:44

I'd say oxblood. About to get some myself.

I would also go for oxblood. Gorgeous colour and can work with many others.

Hurrah! I prefer the oxblood ones.

I've had oxbloods for a while and haven't struggled to wear them as often as I can

KlingybunFistelvase Wed 25-Jan-17 19:52:41

Chish, if I take the plunge and buy them, I think I'll be wearing them every day! Really want them, they're just so pricy... The pair I want have a lifetime guarantee though, so they're pretty much bound to pay for themselves... convincing? grin

I have both and I wear the black the most.

keeponkeepinon Wed 25-Jan-17 21:46:17

I went for oxblood. A bit more versatile than black I think and a softer colour whilst still being dark. I luffs them!

EnglishGirlApproximately Wed 25-Jan-17 21:47:24

Oxblood definitely, I wear mine with everything

TheHiphopopotamus Wed 25-Jan-17 21:47:59

I've got both and oxblood are my faves. They go with more or less everything (unless you're a fan of hot pink).

HoneyBunnySunny Wed 25-Jan-17 21:49:08

Same here PNGirl, I have both and wear black mostly. They just go with more of my stuff. But if you love the oxblood get those. My great aunt always used to tell me to wear what you love!

SlipperyJack Wed 25-Jan-17 21:49:42

Oxblood, definitely. I have the knee high ones.

BradleyPooper Wed 25-Jan-17 21:53:45

I have black as I wear a lot of black and black jeans especially. Dd1 is 12 and has red patent.....

downwardfacingdog Wed 25-Jan-17 21:54:25

I wear my oxblood DMs every day. I use black polish on the toes and heels and they are beautiful.

Manumission Wed 25-Jan-17 21:55:09

#teamoxblood smile

I've had my oxblood DMs since 1993. They are the most comfortable and versatile boots ever.

Jointhejoyrun75 Thu 26-Jan-17 07:42:31

What do you wear then with, and are the laces a faff to do every morning?

PNGirl Thu 26-Jan-17 10:18:06

I wear mine with skinny jeans, and they're no worse to do up than a pair of trainers - I don't need to unlace them to get my feet in, just loosen them up a bit.

Thanks everyone!

I think I'm going to order the oxblood ones. Just one query re my hair colour which is strawberry blonde / a little bit ginger. Do you think they'll clash?

Mol1628 Thu 26-Jan-17 11:03:02

No I think they will look great with your hair colour!

I don't find them difficult to put on and lace up etc. They are at first but once you've broken them in they're very easy and comfy. I wear them every day.

KlingybunFistelvase Thu 26-Jan-17 11:09:05

Thanks mol and everyone else for comments! smile

SimplyNigella Thu 26-Jan-17 11:40:23

I have oxblood and love them, even though they are bloody painful as I'm still wearing them in. But I shall persevere...

YokoUhOh Thu 26-Jan-17 11:42:22

I'm strawberry blonde with oxblood DMs!

BroomstickOfLove Thu 26-Jan-17 11:49:26

I have black, but am getting Oxblood next as a wear a lot of navy and it goes better. Also, it's beautiful. My shoes are beautiful shiny Oxblood and I love them.
