A cardigan for a holiday in the canaries?

My friend is off on holiday to the canaries in a couple of weeks. She's after a cardigan that she can wear to travel in that will also double up as a cover up in the evenings if its chilly.

So something to take the chill off without looking too chunky for our winter, and something that will look stylish enough at the airport to travel in. Any suggestions of where to look?
