Please can you advise me, what can I wear instead of linen trousers.

Thinking ahead to spring/summer - I have been wearing linen trousers in the summer, even though I find them comfortable and practical I feel so frumpy. What do you wear on your bottom half?

I don't want to wear short skirts but can do over the knee or a little bit longer. I am 38 years old, 5ft 2inches and a size 12.
