Can anyone recommend a start up kit? I've seen one pretty cheap on Amazon but I'm clueless having never had gel nails what in all do I need? Thanks smile

Funny,I just started a thread last night on gel nail lamps.

I didn't get a kit, just a LED lamp and chose top and base coats and a set of colours.

Was about £40 all together iirc ( was a Xmas present)

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00SWPG3PG/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_364_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=HHZ2SA5VKH9E1SVZMXSG&dpPl=1&dpID=31Y%2BX%2BCi3q

That's my one, good reviews and life time guarantee.

Superdrug gel remover acetone is great too.

Thanks Dame can you tell me what else I will need to buy, how long it takes for the gel to set etc? Is it pretty simple to remove? Sorry for all the questions grin

I'm new at this so it's trial and error and looking at YouTube videos but I have-

Lamp
Top and base coat
Gel colours
Files
Cotton wool
Finger tray for removal
Acetone
Orange sticks
Some sort of alcohol to remove the tacky top later- I use glasses wipes but you can get specific ones on eBay.

With my lamp you cure each layer for 2 minutes.

I get roughly a week and a half to 2 weeks out of manicure.

Foil for removal too!
Cuticle oil- I use almond oil.
