I wish I'd had the nerve to ask her where they came from... She was wearing a pair of boots that were actually more trainer, or more like a Van slip on but they went up to the ankle. Black leather with a white sole. Anyone know what I'm talking about and where I might find a pair?

PP might be right about Next. In the clearance section they have black zip chelsea boots for £18, but only in a size 43 left. They also seemingly do them in tan and burgundy (which looked nice actually)
