Horrible skin

I have verybsenaitive, red, spotty and dry skin. Kind of flaky around my nose and very red in places. Then I occasionally (well quite frequently) get spots on my chin mostly.
I have to be very careful about what I use because most products make my skin very sore.
So
I use Clinque Take off the day cleansing balm followed by Avène Extremely gentle cleansing lotion. Then I use La Rosay Posay Cicaplast to moisturise as at night I use Clarins Blue Orchid.
No matter what I do my skin is still red but I can manage that with make up and when it's really bad a big hat.
But lately it's been very flaky around my nose and as you can imagine exfoliating is painful.
I was using Clearasil super fruit cleansing pads but I can't find them anywhere. One pack on eBay recently went for £20.
Is there anything else I can use.
I've tried pixi and nip and fab but they all make my skin hurt.
So what can I use. I can't apply make up to flaky skin ahhh

Stop exfoliating and use milk as a toner,leave on for a few minutes then rinse off and moisture. Seriously,it's amazing and the lactic acid acts as an exfoliater and is super gentle.

My skin is similar and I use The Body Shop cammomile cleanser and Aveeno to mosirurise.

I have Ciciplast and weirdly although you think it'll be great it does nothing for my skin!

And I've just had to accept I can't use ANY Clarins products as they're all to harsh.

How old are you?It could be hormone related.I went through a patch of having similar last year so started taking Silica Complex tablets and have been amazed at the transformation in my skin.I also use a combination of Clinique & Simple skin care products and Clinique cosmetics.

You should see a dermatologist.

I always had bad skin. Ended up insisting on a referral from my doc. But I also saw someone privately while I waited. A lot of money to be recommended the Jan Marini range which I now buy online but I wish I'd done it sooner!! Turns out my skin actually wasn't in the laser treatment category and it could be sorted. I'm 46 so it could be hormonal. Last night I put on a tiny bit of Effaclar duo la roche-posay and I may have well put on pure alcohol my skin is agony today.

All LRP products are harsh imo. I use the Ciciplast as a cuticle cream now!

Try going really bland for a month - milk, cammomile balm and Aveeno ( NOT Aveene) and take it from there .

Feel for you OP.

I use Simple cleansing wipes (NOT the sensitive ones) and My Trusty Little Sunflower Cream which was originally developed by Salisbury District Hospital for people who had experienced severe burns but us now available from the My Trusty website. I would also recommend Witch Hazel as a cleanser instead of the Simple wipes if you are very sensitive (put it on a cotton wool pad and apply directly to skin). Not sure if any of this will work for you but, personally, I would steer clear of most cleansers and lotions if your skin reacts that badly to things.

Forget wipes and any thing harsh. Go back to basics. Use a cream cleaner, wipe off with damp cotton wool, do not wash face, do not tone, use a super gentle moisturizer like Aveeno. For a cleanser I'd try something like The Body Shop aloe Vera cream cleanser. Do not exfoliate until your skin stops hurting then start off with a extremely gentle one.

Apple snap! I honestly can't get over the difference,they've also done wonders for my hair and nails too.I still get the odd jawline spot(oh the joys of the perimenopause!)but not as angry looking and easier to conceal.

My spots are under control mostly. But I do find it gets worse if I use the wrong kind of shampoo.
Nothing is straightforward with me.

Yes I agree with Buster,TBS aloe range is excellent especially the day and night creams. Didn't get on so well with the face wash as it's foaming so no good really especially for sensitive skins, that's why I swapped to the cammomile balm.If you order on line there are always money off deals.

Could you have rosacea? Mine was flaky red and spotty and has cleared up completely with Soolantra - prescription cream.

Alpha-h has amazing products for skin problems, I don't use any other brand now.
