Is there really such a thing as a great ( smudge proof ) mascara for around £25?

Are there really mascaras that are over £50?

I absolutely love Boots No 7 stay perfect tubing mascara . I am forever rubbing my eyes and it never budges until you use warm water to "melt" it off.

Max factor in gold tube doesn't smudge and my skin is really greasy. You can also get stuff from clarins called fix mascara which makes any mascara smudgeproof.

Any of the Estee Lauder Double Wear mascaras (also tubing)

Yup. The no7 one stays put on me and usually suffer with smudgy mascara.

Also Hypnose by Lancome was always a good one. (I haven't bought it in a while so don't know if it still exists)

I got some perfume for Xmas which came with a mini YSL luxurious mascara. It's lovely.
It didn't shift on me and I'm quite bad for having watery eyes.
Spoilt for Rimmel now.

Fantastic! Thank you.

I don't tend to use eyeliner during the day but I do mascara my lower lashes and this is what's smudging.

Benefit's They're Real works for me. I'd given up on mascara, as I had constant panda eyes, so would dye my lashes monthly and I used clear mascara on top but was given a sample of They're Real and it lasted from 7am until I removed it at gone Midnight without a smudge.

The Boots one is wonderful best ever

Ive used max factor Aqualash for 30 years. Its now called Max Factor 2000 calories waterproof. Once its on it will not smudge no matter what you do to it. It is the holy grail of mascaras IMO

I also use benefit they're real. It's amazing and I leave it on for two days😱, cream cleansing around my eyes and bathing everyday, no smudging or flaking yet! £20

Barry M waterproof black is the best ive found, no smudges and easy to remove

GruochMacAlpin Thu 05-Jan-17 18:23:42

I find that Clinique waterproof mascara doesn't smudge.

I have stockpiled the No7 in case they ever go mad and stop making it. It is the only mascara I have ever worn that doesn't give me panda eyes.

WotsitWig Thu 05-Jan-17 19:32:07

Another vote for Barry M mascara.

imjessie Thu 05-Jan-17 20:03:00

Surely it's you that smudges it ? If you don't touch your eyes Andy old mascara will do ! I use the natural collection from boots and it never smudges and people always comment on my eyelashes .. I never touch my eyes when wearing mascara .

I've used loads - Estee, Chanel, YSL and most recently, Charlotte Tilbury....none as good as No.7 Lovely Lashes - goes on great, stays on, no smudging and I happily chuck out after 6 months to get a new one.

The Boots gold tube isn't super thick and long, but it's easily good enough for lower lashes and it's absolutely completely smudge proof.

No7 intense volume waterproof
