Make-up tips:
Eye Make-Up
As evening eye make-up tends to be heavier and darker, make sure you apply your eye make-up prior to your concealer or foundation. This way, you avoid dealing with any eye shadow fall-out.
Choose The Correct Concealer
When concealing redness or pimples, use a concealer that perfectly matches your skin tone. Apply it BEFORE your foundation. However, if you would like to disguise dark circles under your eyes then apply concealer AFTER you’re finished with the foundation. When you use concealer under your eyes, apply it closer to the bridge of your nose as that’s exactly where dark circles hide.
Choose Thicker Foundation
You need to use thicker foundation. BB and CC creams are too transparent. If you don’t like thick foundations you can always mix them with your BB and CC cream to slightly thin them out. If you have oily skin, go for hyaluronic-based foundations rather than oil-based. I’m a big fan of Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint by Hourglass. Of course, don’t forget to moisturize and prep your skin before applying any make-up, this is the non-negotiable first step in any make-up routine.
Mix In Hyaluronic Serum or Fluid
Mix moisturizing hyaluronic fluid into your foundation. This will help to prevent excess oil or dryness in your skin.
How To Apply Foundation
Apply your foundation in layers, rather than a large amount at once to avoid that ‘cakey’ look. A simple solution is to use a Beauty Blender, to work your foundation in layer by layer. Allow some time for the foundation to ‘settle’ on your skin after applying each layer – just as you would when applying nail varnish. And I wouldn’t apply more than three layers.
After 15 minutes, soak your Beauty Blender in tepid water and gently press it against your entire face. After this, the foundation will completely sink-in, ultimately leaving your skin looking natural and radiant.
Setting Powder
My Beauty Insider
If you don’t have dry skin, use translucent setting powder on your T-zone. One of the best setting powders that I’ve tried is by Light Reflecting Setting Powder by NARS. It’s a lightweight, translucent powder which optimizes light reflection to optically fade fine lines and pores. It’s enriched with Vitamin E and glycerin, which help guard against dryness.
Strike A Pose!
Always choose the least yellow lighting for a photo. For the seductive Goddess look, hold your camera higher than your face. Stand up straight (pretend like you’re a puppet with a string holding you from above), open your lips slightly and make sure you deliver that message through your eyes. Then post away!
