Recommendations for a natural looking blusher

I don't wear a lot of make-up. Either tinted moisturiser or BB cream, concealer, mascara and a fairly subtle lipstick.

I'm currently favouring Effaclar BB Blur as I have oily skin. It does a good job of evening out my skin tones but I think I need a spot of blusher to make me look more alive.

Any suggestions? I'm happy to look at budget or mid-range but not mega-bucks.

Benefit Dandelion, if you are pale skinned. It's expensive but lasts forever.

Nars blush

What is your colouring? Nars Sex appeal is a very natural colour if you are fair.

Something tawny coloured like Nars 'Douceur' (sadly discontinued), Tarte 'Exposed' or MAC 'blushbaby'. Pink/peach blusher tends to look like make up, whereas a tawny, neutral blush with a pinky (but not 'pink') sculpts and livens the face.

This stuff is revolutionary. I thought I'd hate cream blush but I love it.

I really like the body shop blush shimmer waves, it gives a natural glow and isn't too shimmery.
I've tried many others but keep coming back to it.
I have oily skin too and everything else I've tried just cakes a bit and looks too much for me.

The max factor miracle touch cream blushes are decent colours and good value too!

Depends on your colouring.... are you pale, tanned, olive skinned?

I heard/read/saw somewhere that you should get a blusher that matches the colour of your gums/mouth. Not sure if that helps Grin. But to be honest my favourite (and since finding it have stuck with it) of all I have owned (am in my forties) was the exact colour of my gums....

Thanks to everyone.

Nars seems to be a particularly popular, so I will definitely stop by their counter.

I love the name Dandelion, so I will look at that one too!

I like the price of Max Factor.

I'm fair skinned.

I hope I don't get any funny looks when I'm comparing the blushers to the colour of my gums Grin

I heard u r meant to match your blush to the colour you naturally go when blushing. Or orgasming according to nars!

I picked up thrBalm Balm Beach yesterday in Debenhams. Gorgeous colour & very smooth. I paid €20, so a little lower than Nars. I have lots of different brands of blushers and these are definitely among my faves

Mac is definitely my favourite, it lasts for ages both in terms of lasting on your face all day and the pot lasting a really long time, so good value for money.

NARS sex appeal is fab, I have fair cool toned skin.

Mac here too, especially as they do matte blush (so many brands add shimmer which really doesn't suit me). I go for proper pink but I'm very pale and that's the colour I blush!

How much do you want to spend? The Max Factor creme puff blushers are really lovely and often on 3 for 2.

If you are very fair, Nars may be to pigmented. So try it on first

Dandelion or Dior Glow. The Dior one is lovely. Looks bright pink but when on gives you that flushed look you get after walking or being outside. Lovely stuff.
