do you have bitch perfect lipstick...

I am looking for a present for myself for christmas and I have it in my head that I want the CT bitch perfect lipstick.
I can't get to try it on as I am a carer and the logistics of getting to a shop right now are nil.
I have auburn hair, pale skin, brown/ hazel eyes. Do you think that the colour would suit me? I am used to wearing sheer lip gloss so I am also a bit worried about how heavy it is. I want something that is a bit more 'grown up'( I'm 42 and never had a lipstick) than a gloss to try and make me look a bit more groomed/ polished...is this what I am looking for?

I've not bought and CT makeup but I do know she's got a lippy range inspired by celebs. Pick a celeb closest to your coloring and go for that one?

I've just googled Bitch Perfect, is this a colour you'd usually wear? Personally being fair with freckles and dark hair with hazel eyes I'd be worried it'll wash me out. With saying that I do have a similar one by Elizabeth Arden. I wear it with a navy smoky eye and pale pinky gold blush!

I've just googled. I don't have it but Hue by Mac is very similar and I LOVE it. It's my favourite lippy ever; great for everyday wear.

I have it but I don't love it tbh. It's peachier than I had expected (bought blind). I will also say that the texture is not the best, its simultaneously quite thick and gritty Confused. Does that help?

If you are after a pink cream style lipstick why not try the Elizabeth Arden one I have. It's really lovely. It's the ceramide ultra lipstick in baby pink. OP why don't you look up reviews on MakeupAlley it's my go to when I'm in 2 minds about a product!

Bitch Perfect on Makeup alley review 71% would buy it again. It got 4 out of 5 lipsticks (stars)

this might help.

Nude lipstick is so difficult to buy, try before you buy!

If you don't usually wear lipstick I think this is a bit in at the deep end. Nudes can be hard to wear and I would absolutely not buy a lipstick this sort of shade without trying it on. Tiny variations in tone in a nude shade can be the difference between amazing and horrendous. It's not just about your skin tone but also about your natural lip shade. And especially if you're not 100% on the shade, a full coverage lipstick might not be the right thing.

Is there a chemist near you? I was really impressed by the Bourjois rouge edition velvets. You might want to try some shades in high-street brands before you get yourself a high end treat version.

I think OP just has her heart set on a treat, and the CT lipstick is all that. Bourjois won't do.

Nude is a bugger to get right. Look at your lips and teeth colour, not your overall colouring. That might help.

OP, CH have a set of 3 mini lipsticks, with BItch Perfect included. that will give you more options.

Thank you so much one and all... I hadn't thought about the shade of my lips (which now you have pointed it out 50pmore seems really quite obvious). I had heard so many fantastic things about it that I thought it might be worth a punt but maybe it is a bit too heavy and Dulci your description rather puts me off!
Sali Hughes in the guardian gave the Rosie HW lip shine a good review and it seems a good half way house between a gloss and a lipstick so I think I might give it a whirl...the Vintage Bouquet seems a good fit. [

Sorry chardonnay you spoke about lip colour too...didn't mean to ignore!
Gonad I'm looking more for something that looks like a natural lip colour rather than pink I think...I am aiming for my lips but better and shinier if that makes sense...

The Rosie lip shines are lovely, and heavily Charlotte Tilbury inspired.
Do you have an M&S near? There might be similar lipsticks too.

I have tried loads of the CT lipsticks, but not bought one as I can't seem to find a shad that suits. I am fair with neutral colouring and find nearly all of them lean warm toned. The only cooler toned pinks are very dark and bright. Also they are nothing like the swatches on the CT website so much better to test in person.

Late to the party but I have Bitch Perfect and it's not my favourite nude ever. Mac's nudes are better I think, though the mattes are quite drying so you need decently-moisturised lips to begin with.

OP if you're looking for something that feels lovely on, looks MLBB and is a bit of a treat, the Ilia tinted lip conditioners are really nice. Not drying, pigmented but not in your face, easy to wear - I'm v impressed. I think Nobody's Baby is their pinky-nude shade. The m&s lip shines are I believe inspired by chantecaille lip chics so they should be pretty good.

Finally got to m and s to look at the colours. Having heeded your advice about thinking about lip colour and teeth the Vintage Rose did not suit me and made my teeth look yellow. So I went with a darker colour than I would have done without your advice. I am pleased with it, and just wanted to say thank you for the very sensible comments. I chose Rose Bud from th Rosie HW lip shine range.

I have bitch perfect and I LOVE it. Looking at the pic of what you bought I am much paler than you, and bitch perfect is lighter and more 'nude' than the pinkier one you have gone for.

That looks great. Wow! Much better than bitch perfect. I have similar colour lips as that lipstick and bitch perfect makes me look a bit dead. So now I'm off to try the m&s one! Someone also recommended brave by mac as that perfect colour.

Oh, interesting information here about nudes. I've bought a few that have been awful over the last few years but got an M&S Rosie one (supermodel shine) and it's just my lip colour but a bit nicer.

You have perfect lips! So jealous! You should try a red while it's in fashion, I'd love to be rocking a red but it makes me look like a cats bum version of my mum, clearly not an aspiration Grin

I have bitch perfect, I like it but as a PP said it's a bit peachy. My absolute fave from CT is Penelope pink, its very similar but so beautiful and suits many complexions..!
