Clay masks - worth the bother?

Hi all,

I tried that 50 shades of snail thing where you use salicylic BHA acid toner and then a clay mask. And supposedly grits come out of your skin. It didn't work for me. But I do like the BHA (Paula's choice).

I now have a shitload of clay mask and am not sure if I can be arsed using it up. I don't like the mess.

Is it worth the effort or shall I Marie-Kondo it? It's just cheap stuff from boots.
