Can I have recommendations for perfume to wear at work. Peri menopausal and always worried I smell from hot flushes etc so would like a nice fresh scent. I wear Si in evenings but find that too heavy for day wear. Is Alien too heavy? Or what else can you recommend?

It's lemony and fresh - someone always compliments me on it

Chanel Cristalle
Yardley Jade
O de Lancome
Escada Delicate Notes
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea range ( and all the flankers are very good, esp nectarine)
Issey Miyake A Scent- green and uplifting and very fresh. i always get compliments. It's about £15 for 30ml

I like the Anna Sui that looks like a handbag. Is it Sui Dreams? I think it has a really nice light scent.

My new favourite light daytime perfume is Prada Infusion d'Iris (or rather, its Perfume Parlour dupe!)

Otherwise, anything citrussy I suppose, I love Yardley Jade (prefer it to Cristalle) Vent Vert, Chanel 19, Chanel Bel Respiro, Yves Rocher Neroli, L'Occitane Neroli Orchidee or Jasmine and Bergamot.....

Go and have some squirts!

I love L'Occitane Verbena smile

And if I smell 4711, it takes me back (very far back in my case) to my teenage years.

I like Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, but alternate that with Ajmal Shadow.

Annick Goutal chevrefeuille which is a really light green and fresh kind of perfume. Or Elizabeth Arden green tea or Bvlgari green tea - both really uplifting scents

mowglik Sun 27-Nov-16 23:34:54

Or Bvlgari au the vert as it's actually called blush

rosesandcashmere Sun 27-Nov-16 23:35:22

Hugo boss femme or 4160 Tuesdays 'who knew' I alternate depending

Angel makes me feel ill - have to walk away from anyone wearing it I'm afraid. Same as JP Gaultier. Even in shops - heavy vanilla overtones apparently.
I'm more of a fresh citrus girl (aged 52) and like Jo Malone Basil and Mandarin, DKNY, Issy Miyake (my children associate it with me and call it the mummy perfume). I've also recently got a thing for White Company Day. Have asked for it for Christmas.
Funny how we changed- I spent my early 20s drenched in Opium, or Miss Dior when I was trying to look clever. Odd.
