Chi Chi London Experience and Opinion Please

I have a wedding over Christmas which I'd like to look glam at. There is nothing in the shops and I feel completely pants. So after lots of looking online I realise that the sugariness of Chi Chi is kind of what I'm feeling. So two questions:

  1. Does anyone have any experience of Chi Chi? Are they nice in real life or a pile of cheap gack? What are their sizes like?
  2. Do you think this would look good on a 30 yr old, pear shaped 10/12 who's worried about her flabby arms? www.chichiclothing.com/products/Chi-Chi-Jessica-Dress.html
    Or how about this?

    Oh and
  3. Why do they seem to think 'petite' means 'I'd like to show my knickers' rather than 'I'm proportionately short all over?'

    TIA

Just bumping for you as they have some really nice looking dresses and I'd love to know the quality too.

I ordered one and the quality wasn't great to be honest- it was a fuschia full-skirted one and the netting felt really cheap. It wasn't packaged up great- just stuffed into a plastic bag. I didn't end up wearing it. It was also too snug- I'm a size 10 but I think I should have gone up a size.

To be fair there was no quibble over a full refund when I sent it back (free postage)

However, that Jessica one looks quite nice, I would size up though as the cut of the arms on the one I ordered was more of an 8 then a ten.

My then 34 yo sister got one of their dresses for a wedding this time last year and it was gorgeous. She's typically an 8-10 so ordered both sizes and the 8 was perfect on her.

ASOS stock many of their dresses and have free delivery and returns. No doubt they will have a Black Friday deal if you hold out too!

Both dresses are lovely, I think I'd go for the Jessica because the colour is nicer imo.

I've ordered a dress from them before and it was lovely, but it had that zip issue where it was a right PITA the get the zip up past the seam, even when it wasnt on (so it wasn't just me being a fatty). Ended up sending it back because whilst I don't mind battling with zips on £10 dresses from Boohoo, I expect better quality for the money they charge.

Bought 6 dresses from them earlier this year in a range of sizes 10-22 for bridesmaids. The dresses themselves were lovely but we did have some problems with the ordering process. A call from my DMum sorted that out though Grin

Wish this thread was here a month ago. I ordered one for a friend's wedding (khloe gold) Dress was absolutely beautiful when it arrived. I'm rather large chested so ordered a 16. Managed to get the zip done up once (using pliers inside a sock) on the day of the wedding the zip broke. When I had the zip done up there was plenty of space but zip placement was absolutely awful.

I ordered 3 different sizes in 2 styles for my bridesmaids. Delivery was quick and packaging was good. When they arrived, the fabric of the dresses was a bit cheap and the netting more "puffy/princessy" than it seemed online.
They had no quibbles about returning.

I've got two. They are beautiful and get loads of comments but the quality isn't great. Also the customer service leaves a lot to be desired, one of the dresses arrived smelling strongly of fish!!! I emailed their customer service and they were pretty unhelpful and unapologetic. Also don't order with out using a discount code as there are always loads floating around.

I've ordered 3 dresses from them. Gorgeous dresses but the cheapest one had the cheapest quality, its was just £20 though. The most expensive I bought from them was a dress costing £70, simply gorgeous, the day I wore it I had at least 2 people come up to me and ask where I got it from.

Thanks, a bit of a mixed bag, on the whole it seems that they can be good, but quality control isn't really there.
I only really love one of their dresses on ASOS, but it's a pale grey and I think it might look too weddingy to wear to a wedding.

Cheap Tat IMO.

I purchased two dresses back in the summer. On the site they looked beautiful but when they arrived they were really poor quality and looked cheap.

Needless to say I sent them straight back. Never again.

I've one and have worn it to two weddings and received compliments on it. The top is quite snug so I had to go up a size, but am happy with it. This is mine:
