That tight glowy poreless Melania/Kardashian skin... how on earth do you get it?

They look other-worldly (plastic?). Possibly not everyone's cup of tea, but I wouldn't mind just a little more 'luxe' to my look...how do they get that effect?!

I think super duper thick make up and possibly botox

MilkTwoSugarsThanks Wed 16-Nov-16 21:03:07

Photoshop and airbrushing.

WhataHexIgotinto Wed 16-Nov-16 21:06:34

I think really think make up and flattering camera angles.

Professional make up, amazing lighting, quality photography and then digital image manipulation.

There are 'bad' photos about, I'm sure.

Charlotte Tilbury filmstar (highlighting/shading compact) is fab for the plasticky glow effect.

Oscha Wed 16-Nov-16 21:13:41

A LOT of makeup.

By only allowing the release of photoshopped images of yourself.
You sue anyone who prints unauthorised photos of you.

That's how.

Fillers and Botox basically with good make up.

Interesting to see Melania mentioned in a style and beauty thread... Is this going to become a thing?

A girl I knew at school and met at a reunion in our early twenties had this sort of skin. She was an actress and singer (but didn't go on to become famous as she hoped). It was really strange to see in real life, that type of skin you normally only see in magazines and on screen, different from women on makeup counters. She said microdermabrasion was a big part of it. Fillers weren't such a big thing at that point, and she would have been too young for them. But you could see a lot of it was also very good quality expertly applied makeup, didn't look caked, but very well contoured. Airbrushed foundation?

I never knew her that well so couldn't really quiz her in detail, but she had never had much in the way of spots, so I suspect you have to have pretty good skin to start with, compared with celebs who you can see have tried to hide acne, like Cameron Diaz.

I think its giving the illusion of perfect skin.. My take is..
A very good base (charlotte tilbury wonderglow)
med-full coverage foundation, use a liquid highlighter to mix in with foundation or use seperately (becca shimmering skin perfector)
Setting powder/ spray..
Highlight and contour etc

I think a flawless look can be done with the right make up and tools..

Not just makeup,no amount of makeup can give you that youthful plump glow, they do have good skin and they do undergo lots of non surgical treatments,
There are loads of procedures that give that tight look, sculptura, radiesse, fraxel and so on.
I personally think its freakish, and wax like, melania is just in her early 40s, but looks like a wax figure,

Bellaposy Wed 16-Nov-16 23:02:22

Surgery.

squoosh Wed 16-Nov-16 23:12:46

To get that flawless Melania look, just make sure to be photographed standing beside a vile narcissist with dry skin the colour of a hangover piss. You'll glow baby.

Lovelybangers Wed 16-Nov-16 23:15:56

I wish there was a like button for your post squoosh grin

I love Khloe Kardashian's make-up, but I'm sure it's fake. If you look at older pictures of her, she looks completely different.

Yes, TONS of lasers and peels and work! Def not just makeup! As pp say, look at an earlier series of kuwtk, Kim while very pretty does not have that waxy glow.

I'd love some fraxel. Even a course of ipl a few years ago to erase(ironically) acne scars and help rosacea gave me freakishly even skin.

RonaldMcDonald Thu 17-Nov-16 01:45:57

Yy I had lasers ( said in the voice of dr evil) for acne scarring and my skin was unbelievable...for a while. It isn't a one stop shop
I had a series of salycilic peels last year and they were good but no laser

A seriously expensive dermatologist that you see frequently.

dovesong Thu 17-Nov-16 02:15:00

TBH a lot of it is makeup / contouring / etc as much as it is photoshop. Try "baking" your makeup and looking on YouTube for tutorials on flawless skin.

KoalaDownUnder Thu 17-Nov-16 02:57:56

Yes, it's a lot of very expensive procedures.

My cousin has that look. I know for a fact (she told me, years ago), that she spends $$$ on Botox, lasers and fillers. She's my age (early 40s) with skin like a 20-year-old.

Mind you, a mutual friend who knows her, but hadn't seen her in years, was scrolling my Facebook page and came across a photo; she immediately blurted out 'Jeez! She's had some work done!!!'

Not sure if that's the reaction I would want, personally, IYSWIM.

KoalaDownUnder Thu 17-Nov-16 02:58:55

Another friend spent a ton on Fraxel laser leading up to her wedding. Her skin was like a baby's. envy

Musiclife Thu 17-Nov-16 05:57:34

Yes I agree that it must be lots of treatments and cosmetic work plus professionally applied make up.

I watched James Cordon's carpool karaoke and all the famous singers had absolutely flawless skin eg Gwen Stefani and Iggy Azalea. Not a spot or wrinkle or blemish in sight.

Beebeeeight Thu 17-Nov-16 06:27:29

What is a fraxel laser?
