Is it normally horrific?

My sister has worn it for years, I wasn't keen on the name but decided to get a few pieces.

I wore the jeans 5 times, bit big for me not stretching them, one back pocket is ripped at the top with a big hole, the bum is ripped, by the seams of both pockets and rips are showing in the front of the thighs. I've never ripped denim before in my life, it's not the actual seams going. But the denim itself ripping. The blue threads only run vertical with thin transparent stretchy threads going horizontal so if stretched gently the vertical threads peel apart. The jeans cannot be repaired as at any point the rips reappear.

Posting as I'm stunned, I have sub £10 jeans that have lasted years!

Oh and in about 5 wears the t shirt is growing holes. I am someone who can normally make clothes last bloody well

No receipt, kept it briefly but I've never had an issue before and just don't keep them

My skinniest from them last about two years and I'm quite hard on them as I cycle in them.

Unlucky I'd say, Fat Face tends to be good quality although I've not bought from them for a coup,e of years. Everything I've had has lasted a long time and not even lost shape.

Try to take them back, if a product is faulty you don't need a receipt generally. Are they still in stock? Give it a shot and kick up a fuss saying you'll never shop in there again etc....

I dont know about the jeans but my DD likes their check shirts and I've got a jumper and a couple of tops and they all seem fine.

Even though you've not got the receipt, I think you should take them back anyway - its their brand and they can probably tell they're not old from the exact style.

In your position, I would be taking them back and asking for an exchange, as you haven't got the receipt.

I think I will, it's just a nightmare. We are not local at all to a shop and I'll have three small children in tow. Bought them on a day trip

Maybe it's a recent quality thing then, my sister always likes them and is pretty careless on clothing care!

I'm hoping I don't have a big drive for nothing. It was a very quiet Sunday morning and I have a bank statement, though only total spend of £150 not individual jeans show

Take them back, their customer service is normally very good, as is their quality.

Their quality is never great, but it shouldn't be that bad!
Take them back and make a fuss! They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this.

Yes definitely take them back.

I find they are so hit or miss for quality. I've got a skirt that is still great after about 10 years. But have also had a skirt a couple of years ago that shrank terribly in a normal 30 degree wash. Most other things I've bought are ok but DH has had shorts and tshirts from them that have worn holes after pretty minimal wear. Would say their quality is not what it used to be for their prices.

Perhaps you could try contacting them by phone or email with photo and ask what is their procedure for dealing with defective products as its hard for you to get to the shop.

Take them back. I've had issues with a couple of pairs of jeans, ripping and belt loops coming unstitched. They have excellent customer service, they check the codes on the labels inside to check how much they cost full price and either give a replacement or refund. I've even managed to walk out with a new pairs of jeans and a couple of pounds on a gift card! I think some pairs just miss quality control, as far gave jeans are usually OK quality. I've only complained if the jeans have been worn less than say 15 times.

Call their head office first , explain what happened . They will probably ask for an email with pics . Discuss it with them. Make sure they offer a replacement and then go to the shop armed with this . If you go and the manager is off sick or away and no one can make a decision you will be cross .

By the way I've had a ff jumper dress for about 7 years and it's still in great condition . I haven't bought a lot but what I have lasted well .

I've always found their clothes to be good quality- definatake them back-their customer service is good too

I rang today and have a returns label so fingers crossed! Before packing I tested an area lower down, I could easily tear and pull apart with two fingers at a mid point but only on the reverse so hopefully they will easily accept it just an unlucky fault

Good! glad to hear it sounds like they will sort it.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't sort it, I had a woollen hoody that developed holes after about three washes. When I took it back they were very apologetic and the replacement lasted all winter being worn pretty much every weekend.

Sounds like it may have just been a faulty batch.

I've never had any problems with them over the years
