I'd like to get some different party wear that is not:
stretch lace
made of that scratchy sparkly material

What will you be wearing?

I love sparkles but this year am going for this.

Rathkelter Sun 13-Nov-16 08:59:29

Oh wow Sleep that's a fun skirt.

sleepachu Sun 13-Nov-16 09:00:08

I bought this off eBay yesterday to wear on xmas day.

Rath remember being a kid and loving a skirt that really twirled out when you spin around? Yeah, that!

Outcomesthebunnyofdeath Sun 13-Nov-16 09:06:33

That's lovely sleep. Where is it from if you don't mind me asking?

Outcomesthebunnyofdeath Sun 13-Nov-16 09:07:05

The first skirt I mean

sleepwhenidie Sun 13-Nov-16 09:09:39

There are two different sleep nn's here smile! Mine was the first - skirt was from the Outnet, now sold out unfortunately but is is Noir Sachin & Bibi (never heard of them before!) Shoes Zara and bodysuit Asos. Bought it all for a wedding a month or two ago but as the skirt is festive it will be on December duty too!

I have bought a dress with a print on it of old fashion Christmas cards.

sleepwhenidie Sun 13-Nov-16 09:13:09

Just found this

That's pretty much my list Rathkelter

Rathkelter Sun 13-Nov-16 09:32:11

That's lovely and amazingly cheap at £15. Other than a black body (I look terrible with black near my face) what top would work do you think sleepwhendie?

Floisme Sun 13-Nov-16 09:34:28

Velvet widelegs from the back of the cupboard. Or a brocade skirt from a vintage shop. (I've seen quite a few recently and they're a steal.)

Although I might cheat and team with a Whistles sparkly fine knit top.

sleepwhenidie Sun 13-Nov-16 09:52:09

A white top would look nice too, but you'll need to be more careful with quality than you can get away with with black (imho). Maybe something with sheer sleeves, or a short sleeved shell top if you don't mind a tiny peek (or more) of your waist?

sleepwhenidie Sun 13-Nov-16 10:01:33

Maybe something like this but it might work better with a black skirt and you'll need to try on to make sure the line of the top doesn't fight with the fitted waist of the skirt, makes it tricky!

Outcomesthebunnyofdeath Sun 13-Nov-16 18:20:39

Oh yes, a different sleep!

Love that one you linked to, sadly I'd probably be unlikely to squeeze into a small. It's given me an idea of what to put with my Victorian style lace body though smile

Inspired by this thread I started "window shopping" online and have been depressed by what clothes are on offer right now.

TheImprobableGirl Sun 13-Nov-16 18:30:25

It's a bit sparkly.... but I saw this on a different thread and have bought it for my festive soirees!

AmberNectarine Sun 13-Nov-16 18:42:51

I will re-wear this red velvet number I got from Karen Millen last year.

NeonPinkNails Sun 13-Nov-16 18:46:23

Fletcher that sounds fab, where was it from?

Laska5772 Sun 13-Nov-16 18:53:44

Ive been looking at this Ted Baker skirt for some time and have just ordered it from HOF as they have a 20% promotion today .. It is expensive still though... (so I may not keep it..)

JuniorMint Sun 13-Nov-16 18:58:34

I want this from Topshop.

Christmas card print sounds amazing. I'm trying to find a sparkly top or star print top or something to wear with skinny black velvet trousers (which I also haven't found yet).

TheImprobable that dress is AMAZING! I love it so much. Is it true to size? I think I need it!
