Zara sizing

I saw a coat I love on the Zara website. It goes up to an XL which is the same as their 16. I am short and a size 18 on top. Does anyone know if Zara coats tend to come up big or small?

I can get to a Zara tomorrow but it will take us a bit out of our way so would love to know if there is any point going there to try it on.

Thanks

They are small sizing. I am a ten (top) and a twelve (hips) and the M looks better on me than the small. When I was size 8-10, I wore size small in Zara.

Very small

Thanks. Probably no point then. Could get away with a 16 on shoulders and arms but definitely a 18 round the chest /middle.

I tried loads of coats on in Zara last weekend. The sizing comes up tiny in everything but varies depending on what style and fit it is. I'm a size 12 and needed an XL in a puffer style jacket just so I didn't look like a giant sausage bursting out of its skin!

This is the coat. Maybe someone could find something similar in my size.

Thanks

I think XL would be fine. I'm a 12-14 and buy M or L. The arms tend to be slim on tight fitting styles, but that is a loose style. It's lovely!

I think the XL would be fine on you. Go for it. xxx

I think they are a bit more generous with sizing in coats, I think a XL will be fine for you

That is a lovely coat. It isn't fitted so definitely worth trying on. If you order online, they will deliver to your home address for a small fee. I often get home deliveries as it means I can try on with different knitwear, shoes etc. I don't feel under the same pressure as I do when in a fitting room in the store.

Thanks. If time allows tomorrow I'm going to go try it on and if not I'll order it online. I really like it a lot.

I really think you need to try it on.

I am about a 14, 34H boobs and had to get size M jumper and one size S! They were huge, I really thought I was going to have to get L or XL. The jeans come up true to size but the tops were massive.

It might be ok because of the style it look quite flowy. Zara are teeny though,I'm a size 12/14 top 32ff boobs and I'm an xl in Zara jackets. They are not designed for those who are large of nork!

Size 14 and a small in Zara sounds unusual. Is it an oversized top and you prefer it slightly more fitted?

Or maybe you aren't really a 14 in the reversed way I'm not really a ten but I like to say I am :-)

I really really am not smaller than a 14, mores the pity! The top is intended to be oversized and 'boyfriend' style but seriously, the M was massive. Truly truly huge. It's still oversized just not like I'm wearing my husbands jumper - maybe it was supposed to be that big?!

I'm a 14/16 at the moment actually probably more a 16 Wink. As a rule I'm a L/XL in Zara depending on the cut. In that coat, which is lovely, I'd probably go for a L, so XL should be fine on you.

Love, love Zara......

I wear an 10 on top and an 8 or 10 on the bottom from U.K. shops like Topshop or New Look. I buy an M in Zara, sometimes an L for tops like shirts and jackets. I don't like my clothes tight, but some M shirts in Zara have almost choked the breath out of me. The arms are also very slim on their tops in all sizes. Skirts and dresses tend to be more generously sized than tops in Zara. I have a S coat from Zara that is a little tight but I don't care as it's so warm.

Went to Zara to look at the coat but they didn't have it in stock. I tried a coatigan on in XL and it was big on me so I have some hope of it fitting when I order it online.

Zara have most definitely never heard of vanity sizing.

I am a 10 everywhere, except Zara where, if I'm lucky I can get away with an L. Their fitted shirts for work are beautiful. And I am a fucking XL in them!!!
