I've got a dressing gown which is warm and cosy but its polyester and gives me mini electric shocks 😬

Can you recommend something or a fabric that is warm and cosy but not staticy/ shocking!

Thanks!

What sort of budget? Cotton would be teh obvious answer but I can't stand terry dressing gowns. Velvet (lined) is lovely.

I guess £50 tops for a dressing gown.

I don't really want a towelling one - they ones i has years ago and dh's the threads pull really badly.

Yeah, they are dreadful things. Don't like the weight of them either.

How about something like this? It's a shame it's pale

Maybe. Actually yes that is a possibility. I hadn't really thought of a sweat shirt type fabric.

How warm would a brushed cotton/ flannel be do you think?

No very, I fear. I saw a couple but to my mind they'd only be snuggly in summer. Lined velvet / velour really is fantastic.

IME of those thick, warm fleece dressing gowns they aren't usually bad for static if you use fabric conditioner. Some people seem a lot more prone to static build up than others though and I'm not a particularly staticky person.
