I know there's been other threads on this but I'm looking advice on beauty boxes and would be particularly interested in your opinion if you've tried more than one brand of box?

It's as a gift thinking a 6 month subscription as a gift for a 21 year old so she would probably like one with well-known products guessing.

Any advice/ thoughts id love to hear them. Thanks!

I'm getting teen DD a Birchbox subscription for Xmas. I think they have the edge on style & content over Glossybox imho.

I had glossy box for a while, wanted a nice treat each month when I'm off on maternity leave and thought a beauty box was the way to go. To be honest, it wasn't that great and I cancelled after three months. The 'full size' item in my boxes were a deodorant one month and an eye shadow pallette that costs £5 in superdrug. The other samples were very hit and miss. Lots I hadn't heard of, which isn't a problem and I suppose that's the point of beauty boxes, but over all, I think I used about three or four items I got in my three boxes. So overall, a negative experience for me. Sorry!

That's kind of what I'm concerned about Katie so thanks for the feedback!

Jelly and Creme thank you - will def give BirchBox a look. Sounds like a good call!

Maybe if it had been a gift I would have enjoyed it more? But for me, I was aware that I could go to boots or the body shop and buy myself something nice that I wanted to try for the same amount of money I was spending. I have some colleagues who get birchbox and rave about it.

I've not bought but I've looked into them and it seems the look incredible box is the best - all full size products and high end names.
look incredible beauty box

I got a subscription to Glossy Box for my sister and she thought it was great. I'd have a peek each month and it was good, but seemed a bit young to me - good for someone experimenting with beauty products I thought, figuring out what works for them (and on a budget). I've heard really great things about Birch Box though and hope to try it myself! My friend gets it and loves it.

Thanks unicorn for the suggestion will check it out too.

Have just discovered the Cohorted box too which is the most expensive I've seen but looks gorgeous.

I am a real beauty junkie so I've never gone for the boxes myself as I have a house coming down with stuff as it is, but think she would enjoy it as a pressie.
