Before I splash out on a few t shirts from them just wondered if it was going to be a waste of money - Will they shrink/stretch/become mis shapen in wash, will they develop small holes in them as has every other t shirt i own!

Thanks

It used to be good, but hasn't been all that recently.

Dreadful compared to in the past. Seriously, if you want T shirts or tops, save your money. Matalan and Primark are not much worse tbh. And Joules etc knock socks off them.

Boden jeans IMO are the bollocks, but I was very cross this summer with a couple of tops- sent them back. Yet in my wardrobe I have 3 tops from Boden that are 10 years old almost, and look brand new.

Something has gone very awry in their quality department.

Wow thankyou for saving my money, are the jumpers pretty much the same then?

Ive had a few from oasis that expand with washing and end up longer and wider - just horrible and a waste of money!

I just cant find decent t shirts with good quality fabric anywhere, the worst was karen millen, I compared it to a primark top yet the primark was a lot thicker!

Depending on what you are after, I find the H&M Pima cotton t-shirts in their Basics range are great as a base layer under sheer knitwear and pinafore dresses, but the colour palette tends to be very limited.

I don't think Boden tops are that good for the price, but they're very good value in the sale

I bought a breton t shirt this year and it looks a mess now - totally misshapen and the neckline has puckered. So no, not great quality.

Try Lands Ebd fur jersey tops, but size down.

I find boden varies massively. I ordered 3 different styles recently, 1 was lovely thick jersey, very good quality; 1 was thinner but seems like it will be good - reserving judgement; and the other (most expensive!) one was awful - very thin and shapeless. Frustrating they can't just focus on getting everything to a decent quality.

I'm so glad it's not just me! I had three scoop neck long sleeved tops from there about 8 years ago and they're fantastic, still going strong, colour and shape great.

Ordered some this year and the fabric is thin, not fitted and not at all flattering. Was considering trying some of the uniqlo or H&M ones instead. (No idea of these in comparison, but feel guilty as have recommended the boden ones on here in the past!)

I have a few h&m long sleeved t shirts, had my beloved white and black ones for nearly 3 years and they loo as good as new, have never changed shape and I deeply regret not ordering a whole bunch of them.

Others i get from there are thin and just don't stand up to a wash, as thinking of trying boden for a few new bits, I really need jumpers and long sleeved stuff as ive had a huge clearout recently and realised i have nothing in for winter, but after this I guess its hit and miss. They've just sent me a 25% off all knits so may just be tempted to order and see what its like when it arrived. Will look at lands end too, is that just online or do they do shops?

I swear by primark basic tea shirts particularly the long sleeve scoop ones with lycra (I think the striped ones are better quality, some of the plain ones have polyester in and bobble). I bought a couple of T shirts from Boden with a discount code and honestly prefer the primark ones.

Itmustbebedtime- the ones I sent back were Bretons.

I did then buy a couple in the clearance, but cf Joules, Seasalt etc, and even Gap (whose quality also varies wildly) there is no contest.

I like H&M Logg T shirts although I've a bad feeling they've stopped doing them. Standard H&M Ts can be ok but they've started adding too much lycra for my liking.

The best Ts I've had in the last couple of years are from Toast; so they bloody well should be at that price but at least they've worn and washed well.

I'm also guilty of recommending Boden for quality on the basis of stuff I bought 7 or 8 years ago. Sad
