I'm looking for a pair of waterproof boots I can use for dog walking. I'm looking for something warm and comfortable, ideally not wellies, and not Hunters or Dubarry. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Merrell! I have the Captiva Buckledown and they're the comfiest boots I've ever had, v warm and waterproof too (although I've never actually paddled in them - they're fine in wet weather though). They're my apocalypse boots - if zombies descend tomorrow, they'd be my one piece of footwear.

I wear Blundstones. Size down a whole size. I'm going to put sheepskin insoles in them for winter.

I know you said not wellies, and Hunter aren't the best of this category, but I've also had a pair of their chelsea boot and biker style boots. The practicality of wellies but not the look.
