MN Vogue Vol. 74(1000 Posts)
Time for chunky knits, bobble hats and boots, please come and join in with all your autumn fashion - high end or high street, we love it all.
I tried on a few pairs of stans on Friday and have decided that I'm not keen on black and didn't like the silver with opaques so didn't buy - my snakeskin Ash jordy's looked much better.
Also tried on backless loafers in Office but couldn't keep the blasted things on my feet so that was a no too.
On a more positive note, I bought Lancome eye shadow - why did no one tell me how lovely lancome eye shadow is?!
Also picked up a nude lip liner and concealer that had been recommended by a friend here - a dupe for touche eclat apparently but we'll see.
Ooh I can't wait to get proper cosy winter clothing on! Especially now I work from home and don't need to commute in awful weather! I'm hoping for lots of frosty and crisp days and proper snow
Thanks for new thread Fedup!
Happy I saw a leather shirt earlier on Uterque, it was perforated so very sheer, but looked gorgeous.
Update on LKB bag, it wasn't love at first sight, I tried it with all my stuff in and with a smart dress and it's basically just too big (and weighed 8lbs!). I'm going to return it for the smaller size though because I did grow to otherwise love it! Obviously the discount code still doesn't work for me but since I need to ring them to get a courier anyway I can just order on the phone again.
It's not long til the next MU! Very excited have started outfit planning!
Mara how was the party? You looked stunning.
What gorgeous colours Fedup for the thread.
I'm tempted to hunt down some G Rossis in the Mount St store this week, just to try on.
Can't remember who asked on the old thread but these are the ghillies I wore on my night out. Lots of compliments but definitely car to bar shoes.
Hope you manage to still get the discount on the smaller bag Blair.
Agree Mara you looked fabulous and the shorter hair length definitely suits you.
Thanks for the new thread Fedup
How many are going to the next MU? Has a venue been booked? Concerned I may have missed the details.......
The Comptoir grey coat that Sleep found for me is fab. Wore it last night with Ganni black dress and again today with black Uniqlo roll neck, black GAP skinnies, Office Jagger boots to see Trolls at the cinema.
DS loved the movie which was v cheesy but fun and the soundtrack was awesome.
Don't panic Shop it's all sorted . I'll ask for final numbers in a couple of weeks but so far the list looks like this:
Ooo good turnout. I'm a definite now. No shooting that day
sogutted i can't make the MU, with packing and sorting the flat, i just can't make timings work this time round unfortunately
Thank you for new thread Fedup
Ooh! sorry to read that black Stans are a no. I've got them in a shopping basket & thought they'd be perfect for winter wear, especially with skirts.
OMg at 8lb bag Blair
Last night I wore pistols, black Uniqlo pleated skirt & black/camel striped Ganni breton & v old leather jacket. i need a new leather jacket but all the ones I've tried on have far too long sleeves on me. Will continue the search for the perfect one.
I love my black Stans Dream , I wear them more than my white ones.
I have a MuuBaa leather jacket that I love, they often come up in the sales on The Outnet post Christmas.
Love the ghillies Fedup & thanks for the concealer tip & new thread. I'm uncertain now for the 12th . Friends have got a big party that night and I'm away the following weekend so feel bad about leaving DH alone two weeks in a row. I'll try & pop in for an hour or so
Lovely Equipment jumper on the last thread QueenC. I just saw this PSC one which I really like.
Just get the GRs Marsha
Fedup thanks for the new thread. Those red shoes are lovely.
Dream you should try the black stans, sounds like they would suit your style. How are you getting on with your silver new balance? I keep umming and ahhing over getting a pair, or the gold ones.
Shop that coat looks really good, well done Sleep. I have a similar one that I got from Esprit (via TKMaxx) - love the style.
I was in London recently and everyone seemed to be wearing sharp, mannish coats. I also saw someone wearing the Bella Freud '1970' jumper - would never happen where I live
I finally found a midi dress I am happy with. It is a good length for boots, trainers and sandals in the summer. This one and bonus it was half price in the shop.
I am looking at winter boots, have found a couple I like but really different styles
maybe I need both
Next - love the colour
Or was thinking of the Office lucky charm in white. I quite like white boots but they are a lot less versatile.
I've been looking for 'comfortable heels' too - found these which I don't think are for me but wanted to link as they are a bargain!
Jigsaw Milly heels
The white Lucky Charms are fab IRL. A little bit 'aged' - I was v tempted.
I've ordered the black Stans to try.
Bernice I love the silver New Balance. I keep looking at the gold ones also. Trainers seem to be my most used footwear nowadays. I like that dress too, unfortunately most of their stuff is too long on me.
Thanks for the tip Shop I'll keep an eye out on the Outnet.
Thanks for the new thread fedup and nice shoes!
mara hope you enjoyed your event.
blair that's a shame about the bag, today is the last day of the discount so you will need to order today to get it. I noticed that the bag has quite short handles so you would have to carry it / just about her cut over your shoulder. Is this what you wanted? Only I find that 'carry' bags can be a bit annoying and I much prefer a bag I can put over my shoulder. As much as I love my Bayswater, I just don't use it as much as I should because of the handle business, and it's also quite heavy. I find myself using this in grey much more as my lap top fits in nicely, it's quite roomy, has a shoulder handle and isn't too heavy.
Great weekend outfits shop and dream.
I'm looking forward to the meet up too and meeting you all.
Signing in. Can't open links on phone but looking forward to see what everyone is buying. I can't make the meet up.
Love the Lancome eye shadow on last thread.
Meant to say Bernice I read in the Guardian that Stans and NB are dated now and that Reebok Classics were the trainer to be seen in at FW. I thought of Amber
Nooo I love my Stans! I ordered some sheepskin insoles at the weekend so I can have toasty feet in those and my chelsea boots this winter.
Just ordered the Jessie bag - phew. And the other one is going to be picked up later. Everyone I don't mind a grab bag, I know some people don't like the "crook of elbow" thing but I do I love hobo bags too and thought this one was smart enough but it's just too much to spend for me. But I do like bags that stand up on their own (with the little feet)
Beautiful dress Bernice, & other stories prints are so pretty.
Amber inspired me to get silver trainers. I tried on the Reeboks but they were not as comfortable on my dodgy feet so opted for comfort over style.
hangs head in style shame
That hobo bag is lovely blair but agree £££. Glad you managed to order the smaller one.
Nice dress bernice. I think happy might have the office boots in a different colour
or three I agree that white might not be the most versatile for winter, but if you like the style how about a different colour?
On the way to the Lake District for half term. Performance clothing, not much fashion.
