Considering one is on the way to half the price of the other....
exhibit a
exhibit b
They are really quite similar to me. I'm kind of thinking it will come down to how neatly they will fit on the ankle, so they'll go with skirts and tights.

Phwooooar Fri 21-Oct-16 13:13:40

Much prefer b - sorry!

A too mum-boot. And I'm old enough to be a granny!

Walkinglikeazombie Fri 21-Oct-16 13:17:50

Definitely B

Ilovewillow Fri 21-Oct-16 13:19:05

sorry B!

Gah! You people aren't frugal at all are you!!

Definitely not A? They look narrower at the ankle to me thus fitting better with tights and skirts iyswim

If you like A better, go for them.

B are a bit more special, IMO. A are a bit ordinary.

SwearyGodmother Fri 21-Oct-16 13:57:18

Do we need to find a c for you? Any specific criteria that aren't obvious from the photos?

keeponkeepinon Fri 21-Oct-16 13:58:27

I do of course prefer the more expensive ones. Thought I might be persuaded otherwise here but not so....!
There's 20% off marks too so they're under 50 quid! Which is making me want opinions.....

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff Fri 21-Oct-16 14:00:11

Another vote for B here!

idontlikealdi Fri 21-Oct-16 14:00:21

Definitely not A

keeponkeepinon Fri 21-Oct-16 14:03:58

I love the dune, they meet the criteria on all but price!
Small block heel, comfy, able to be worn with tights and skirts as well as jeans so not too high on the ankle for me. Almost on the way to a shoe boot but not quite.
No pointy toes, I like shoes to vaguely represent the actual shape of my feet, not keen on Cuban or cowboy style heel either, they can look mum booty to me if not exactly right. And no higher than 5cm heel!

All under £99?! I challenge thee! (Basically identical to the dune ones ...)

SwearyGodmother Fri 21-Oct-16 14:07:18

Any good?

burnishedsilver Fri 21-Oct-16 14:08:33

B looks sturdier, like they will last longer. A might be a false economy. What you need is a discount code for B. Anyone?

SwearyGodmother Fri 21-Oct-16 14:11:47

Sorry looked and posted before the criteria.

Can you afford the dune boots but not justify them? Or is buying the £99 pair of boots too much of a stretch? Rude question but the point is you do deserve the nice ones and you'll get far more pleasure - and wear - out of the boots you want rather than the cheaper version you don't like as much but talked yourself into. If you're anything like me you'll buy the cheaper ones, be pissed off, and then end up buying the dune ones anyway so you won't save money at all!

Why not sign up to the dune newsletter and buy as soon as you get sent a discount code or see if you can find a discount code for one of their stockists? That might help justify them a bit better.

keeponkeepinon Fri 21-Oct-16 14:19:46

Thank you for the suggestions sweary but I still prefer the dune ones! I can afford them, I need them for work, it's just more than I set out to pay.

Yes to false economy, you're right. Especially if I got the cheaper ones then never feel fab in them. Thinking in the way of kondo and which pair spark joy it's definitely those dune ones!

burnished I've signed up for newsletters but not had any codes, if I had a 20% code I would magically not have a problem! Typical of how I have come to only buy when I have a discount, whether or not shops are falsely hoiking up product prices...

Floisme Fri 21-Oct-16 16:03:15

I'd say B too but only because the heel is lower. Otherwise they look pretty similar to me and so do the other links.

I like both. Fence sittergrin

So what I would do would try on both and see which feel the best on your feet.

I have bought a few pairs of M &S boots and shoes over the years a.d found them to be v comfortable and well made for the price.

A are not nice,B are!
