What footwear do I wear with jeans this Autumn?

After months of wearing pumps and plimsolls, I'm not sure what flat shoes/boots would look best with skinny jeans this autumn. How do I avoid showing my socks?? What are the most stylish options please? Anyone?

Thanks wiltingfast I didn't think about H&M but I love their summer loafers. Living in the country, there's a lot of mud about so now I'm thinking maybe I should be going for a short (but relaxed) pull-on ankle boot. Has anyone seen anything?

I am mostly wearing my 'purple cactus' coloured Converse. Otherwise I'm wearing my red kitty TUK shoes, or my patent black brogues when I'm in work. When it gets a bit colder I will be cracking my boots out. I have a pair of black leather ankle boots with buckles and chunky heels from Schuh, and also a pair of black knitted Uggs.
