I would love to know people's honest thoughts about these boots

hoddtastic Sun 16-Oct-16 20:33:25

i would wear them but i like things that are a bit studenty vibe. When / how were you planning to wear them, and with what?

dontpokethebear Sun 16-Oct-16 20:39:07

I like them too, probably for the same reasons as Hodd!

I really don't like them and think they would be an odd length with both jeans and skirts.

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

I don't like them. Sorry.

I love them.

I like them. They'll last for years too.

christinarossetti Sun 16-Oct-16 21:12:08

I have them!

In black, bought a few years ago.

They're very comfortable and look good with skirts and trousers. I have several pairs of El Naturalista shoes, and they're definitely keepers.

I like these boots still, but am now hankering after a pair of sleek Chelsea boots as a contrast to the chunkiness. Will still be wearing these for years to come though.

I don't like them - I think they look like something a Tolkien character would wear.
Whoever said they were studenty is obviously not thinking of a present day student with any interest in fashion.

NicknameUsed Sun 16-Oct-16 21:19:46

Not for me. Sorry.

They are a bit hobbit-like.

However, this comes from someone who lives in trainer/walking type shoes smile

I agree with Allpizzas they are indeed rather Tolkien looking and pretty ugly ( in my humble opinion)

RebelandaStunner Mon 17-Oct-16 07:56:09

They remind me of Marcus's mum in About a boy.
Nay vote from me.

Runningupthathill82 Mon 17-Oct-16 08:03:40

It's a no from me. They'd make my feet look like huge flippers.

ClaudiaApfelstrudel Mon 17-Oct-16 08:21:49

not sure what they'd go with tbh

IllMetByMoonlight Mon 17-Oct-16 08:27:04

Lovely. Look nice with skinny jeans, or skirt and woolly tights, perhaps even a pair of leg-warmers? Sort of rustic pixie?

hoddtastic Mon 17-Oct-16 10:10:15

it was me who said studenty, the fashion faddy who dress like mini-wags or young executives wouldn't wear them, the cool ones would. ;)

bottleofredplease Mon 17-Oct-16 12:55:37

Okay, thanks hoddtastic. I am not a student but I am definitely cool wink I don't wear super smart clothes or any shoes that are too pointy. Will wear with skinny jeans mostly.

bottleofredplease Mon 17-Oct-16 12:57:33

Still unsure re the halfway between ankle boots and longer boots hmmm

RhiannasWeave Mon 17-Oct-16 13:02:52

I don't like them, sorry. They look like clown shoes

desperatehousewife2 Mon 17-Oct-16 21:21:18

I think they're truly awful, sorry OP!

ninnypoo Mon 17-Oct-16 21:22:51

I really don't like them. I'm not sure what student-y means but no one I went to uni with would have worn anything like this.

CostaBrava Mon 17-Oct-16 21:26:48

To me they look a bit Maid Marian. In the Tony Robinson ones.
