If they are faux leather then toss them in the machine. If they are real, how on earth do you wash them??? If they are specialist clean how often do you clean them. Surely they stink after a while?
..and do they not make you sweat like hell?

Real leather breaths, you will sweat in faux leather leggings.
I have mine dry-cleaned every few wears, but don't really sweat in them. If they get a mark, I just wipe clean. I've heard of some putting them in the tumble dryer, and some are machine washable

Ah right. Faux leather sounds like a nightmare.

Machine washable leather sounds great. How much does it cost for you to dry clean them?

I have real leather leggings that are machine washable - I adore them!! Xx

How can you wash leather?!
I confess, I am not of the leather leggings persuasion, but the material itself? How can it withstand an hour of detergent and spinning?

I have the Hush leggings. They are 'specialist clean only'. I take them to the dry cleaners in the hope they know what that entails.

Bump as I am also interested in the washable leather leggings please

Do they feel a bit much when you are wearing them? I love the look of them but think maybe i might look like i am trying too hard. I rarely see anyone wearing them but maybe its too early in the season?
I knew someone who wore them and everyone looked at her and thought OMG and made shitty comments to her. That was a good few years ago before they were fashionable though. I would hate that to be me.
Maybe might invest in a pair that are PU to see if i would wear them before shelling out?

Are they not a bit Ross from Friends? Look good but require talc and "lotion, I see lotion" to actually wear??

KanyesVest Sat 15-Oct-16 09:59:12

Do leather leggings not go really baggy around the knees and bum though? I think I'd be afraid ti sit down in them...

neveradullmoment99 Sat 15-Oct-16 11:49:56

ha ha ha...ross in friends yes...
Maybe not then! Far too much like hard work.

I find my faux ones harder to get into than my real ones, but I love them all. I don't find them 'too much' and have been wearing them in my late 30 for a couple of years now.

Simply cannot imagine people making shitty comments but I think they are easier to wear dressed down (I.e. Flat shoes and vest or big knitwear, rather than with heels and skimpy top) if you're keen to avoid any hint of try hard. If I am going 'out out' in them it tends to be with silk shirt.

What is the leg length like on the Hush ones, Benny?

AmberGreyson Sat 15-Oct-16 12:53:13

i don't like leather leggings

burnishedsilver Sat 15-Oct-16 15:03:36

I always assumed leather leggings would be roasting. I certainly couldn't wear my leather jacket indoors.

JanetStWalker - I am just under 5'8 and the length is perfect - just on my ankle.

JanetStWalker Sat 15-Oct-16 20:58:11

Oh no, I've got no excuse not to buy them now!
