Pale beyond belief

Any good suggestions for makeup for the ridiculously pale? I have red hair and almost translucent skin.

I'm v pale & a bit sallow. I sometimes use a tiny bit of MUA bronzer in the lightest shade, but usually I just embrace the pale with a bit of Benefit Dandelion.

I'm happy to be pale. No issue with that. I'm after a foundation that'll match my skin tone. Sorry, that wasn't really clear.

I've said this loads on here and no one ever seems to take any notice but I'll recommend again! There aren't really many / any foundations for the truly pale. I see lily Lolo, bare minerals and a host of others always recommended from pale people here but they are nowhere near pale enough for me, even the palest shades. The only thing that works for me is a squirt of any foundation in the right time but too dark, mixed with a Foundation brush, with a pure white foundation from mac or illanasqua.

I'm milk bottle Celtic pale...I use Boots No.7 tinted moisturiser and sometimes a sweep of Benefit Dallas and/or Charlotte Tilbury Dreamy Glow Highlighter. Makes me feel good and been told looks good. I'm really glad I followed the lead of my pale skin and stayed out of the sun. Alongside having never been a smoker, best thing I've ever done for my skin, I can really see the difference now I've hit 40.

Great example of my point there, I've tried that one bingo and it's far too dark for me.
I don't know how pale the op is of course but if she is anything like me then nothing from boots is going to work.

I used to wear No7 in the palest colour but they changed it and it's too dark now.

I use Rimmel London Match Perfection in light porcelain at the moment but sometimes I feel I look a bit orange. And it's also doing nothing good for my skin.

I have never smoked and try to keep my skin protected from the sun.

Ones I have tried that work - but it depends if you're pink or yellow undertones as these are pink
Makeup forever HD foundation (I wear shade 110 but they go lighter)
Dollish veil vita BB cream in purple (amazing)
Illamasqua skin base in 02 or liquid foundation in 115
Urban decay all nighter in 0.5 (this oxidises badly on some people so test it)
Mac - I wear NW15 (pink undertones) but they do NW10 which is paler and NC colours are yellow undertones

I'm very Celtic pale with a smattering of freckles. I find ysl touche eclat in their palest shade, and benefit BB cream (big easy) are fairly good. They aren't perfect but I apply them lightly and blend as well as possible.

The body shop bb cream which adapts to your skin tone is great for me in winter - in summer it adapts to my freckles rather than my actual skin, which is bit weird. But it's good in winter.

I'm a mousey brunette but pale Irish skin (get accused of being ill if I dare to go out without makeup) I'm currently using either bare minerals original in fair or their new barepro in fair 01. But trying to find a different one myself as although the shade is right they've changed the formula and it collecting/sitting weird on my sensitive t-zone. Got done at match service boots no7 as calico (palest) again shade right but texture wrong. When I next at business networking meeting gonna ask the arborne lady there to see if she can help. Slowly running out of options, everything else is too dark/tango orange

The Body Shop have lightening drops you can add to foundation, might be worth investigating?

Elizabeth arden alabaster foundation is very very pale

I use Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser in nude - they go lighter than that too. I'm pale with reddish brown hair and it looks barely there while evening out any blemishes and shadows.

Ilamasqua is the best palest pale. If you're really white they're definitely worth a look. I always thought I was really pale but actually im second or third palest shades now... (maybe there making paler shades now)

DD has extremely pale skin, more so as she was ill & struggled to get anything pale enough for her skin. She wanted to try "Make-Up Forever"

We finally found it in Debenhams on Oxford St in London, not only did they have a shade that matched her perfectly, they had 4 more that were even paler. This is the first time ever she hasn't needed to buy the palest shade & its really lovely foundation too

Go Korean for BB creams, I buy mine off eBay. Much much paler

I do sympathise - I'm super pale with freckly skin and getting a good match can be a real challenge. I've found that it's hard to get a good match from high street brands, high end tends to have a better choice - not always but generally. Bobbi Brown is very good for fair skin but it isn't cheap. Charlotte Tilbury's lightest shade is also extremely pale but again, not cheap. If you search on You Tube for pale skin foundations you should get some helpful suggestions, whatever your budget.

You could get a mixer or lightening drops (body shop do them) if you're really struggling.

Also you need to keep your undertone in mind. Many brands assume very pale skin = cool but this isn't always the case as a lot of redheads can have a warm undertone.
