I think I've found the holy grail of tights!

I've always hated the way the waistband on tights digs in and gives me a muffin top look, even though I'm slim, but I bought these from M&S earlier in the week and am very impressed! They don't ride down, are very comfortable and don't create an unflattering shape around the waistline. I wish all tights had waistbands like this! They're not cheap but so comfortable.

I think I've found the holy grail of tights!

What's the sizing like? The size guide shows both height and dress size, but not in a normal block grid like other tights so I don't know if I should size up because I'm taller than the tights size for my dress size.

Nah, sorry, the holy grail is and always will be Wolford opaques.

My inside leg is 36", would love some tights that come up that long.

I always go for the biggest size as I'm 5'9 with long legs.

I've heard Wolford opaques are amazing mad but these ones are a bit more affordable for those who can't splurge.

M&S tights are great for me. I like their belly-sucker-in opaques to rein in the mumtum and arse jiggle-jaggle.

I always buy M&S, just checked out A similar pair on Wolford and they're £34. Are they worth this?

Oh I agree OP! I found these at M&S and I love the new waistband. they are heist tights but so much cheaper and also survived more than one wear.

How long do you tend to get out of marks ones? I have lots of Wolford but my main one which are velvet black opaques I reckon each pair probably gets worn at least once a week on average if not more and they are over a year old.

I think it's velvet 66 that I go for as my day to day opaque

Love Wolford velvet 66 too. They're expensive but oh so worth it. Mine are worn more than once a week, are 2 years old and look perfect. Honestly, well worth the investment.

My holy grail of tights is ones that don't wrinkle around the ankle when I'm wearing ballet flats. Would these tick that box? Would the Wolfords (although omg £35 for a pair of tights?!)?

I know, the Wolford tights are gasp-worthy expensive but they really are great. Any other brand of tights just doesn't compare. Well, Falke do, rtheyre really good too, but also expensive. My favs are the Wolford Velvet 66 above any other.

I always have problems with muffin top or slippage with tights but I just bought these the other day while doing my shopping and I love them. The 'waistband' actually comes right up to my bra line so it sucks everything in, no rolling down, no unsightly bulges and I'm sure in the winter they'll be lovely and warm. Plus they are as cheap as chips, going to stock up next time I am in Asda

I found these recently too and love them. I'm an 18-20 on the bottom and these fit so well, best sheer tights I've had!

Wolford velvet deluxe were the last opaques i bought. They last me for years. They really are worth the spend.

I still wear my maternity tights as they come up to my bra line so don't have a horrible line around my tummy where they dig in. Obviously they don't have any stomach holding in slimming effect!

I was on another thread about Wolfords t'other day. They are the world's best tights. They are totally indestructible. I buy one pair of velvet deluxe every year so have a stockpile. They never lose their shape, you can wang them in a 90 degree wash and the dryer and they still come out perfect. They are dog/cat/nail proof; are so comfortable and never roll down and they look really good. Cost per wear ... think it goes into negative money amounts. Get just one pair and you'll never go back.

What's the waistband like on Wolfords? Because tbh if tights don't have a comfortable waistband that doesn't dig in then I don't care how indestructible they are!
