Please help! These boots do not exist and I'm close to a breakdown!

Ok, slightly dramatic perhaps but I am convinced the boots I want NEED! don't exist and I must find them!

I am in need of knee high, black boots, with a low heel. Not leather.

Sounds easy peasy I know. But I have short, curvy legs with 'bigger than boot makers think calves will be' calves, but also fairly slim feet and nothing fits. I'm 5"2 and a size 12, sometimes a 14 in trousers, so really not that strange a size. But all boots I either can't do up or are too tight to be wearable (slim trousers also need to fit underneath) they're also so high I can't bend my leg comfortably. Curvy leg boot brands all seem to be wide foot as well which I don't need and still too tall in the leg. They also all seem to be leather.

I ordered these boots which are perfect in appearance, perfect heel height, but are way too tight and tall.

I'm at my wits end, if anyone can help me track down these magical boots in my head I'll be so grateful!

I'm open to anything, I like the smarter style and want to wear them in the office, but I'd mostly expect riding boots to be leather?

What's your budget?

There's a great place in London that custom makes boots for calf size. So they aren't actual custom made with +++ pricing but they measure your calf and size accordingly.

I've been looking at the JD Williams website today they have tons of boots with varying calf widths and not all wide fit foot size.

Up to maybe £100? So enough but not loads, theoretically not leather should be cheaper. I haven't looked at JD Williams, I'll give them a look, thank you. I might have to loosen my requirements to include boots with stretchy panels, I'd rather not but needs must.

Hi
What size do you need?

Rocket Dog boots are not leather, and quite generous on the calf.

This is an American site that also ship to the uk. They have loads of wide calf boots with shaft height and circumference.

I have these and I normally find boots too tight for my calves.

They look like suede but they're man-made.

They say over the knee but they fall on my knee and as they're lower at the back I have no problems bending my knees.

Thanks Hapless. I've measured my calves and they're pretty much exactly 15" or 38cm, so I think I need 16" or 40cm circ boots to fit trousers under and be comfortable, so those might be too tight but definitely close.

Not all riding boots are leather, I've had synthetic ones. Good luck in your search!

I bought these Marks & Spencer boots last year
They are wide around the calf and very comfortable.
They were about £50

I am very tempted by these Wills Vegan.
They look wide but I haven't tried them

If you're happy to go with an actual riding boot, then do a search for Saxon Equileather - inexpensive, come in a few different lengths/widths and have a thermal lining too. V.comfy and great when out anywhere splashy/muddy - quick hose down and they're gleaming again! Grin

Try Very. They do a lot of wide fit boots that are pretty reasonably priced as not leather.

I have big calves and have found boots in the past in clarks and John Lewis ( their own brand). Also this might sound daft but Evans does wider calf fittings I think. Might be worth a try

Happy50 those are both perfect, thank you! We've just had an unexpected cost come through so I might wait for next pay day and get the Will's ones.

Thanks so much for the help everyone!
