What trousers, that aren't jeans, do you wear at the weekend?

Or indeed any day that you're not at work?

Jeans don't work for me. I've got a high waist and flat bum and every single pair just slides down

I need inspiration for comfy but not dowdy alternatives

I wear either patterned harem pants (I am not on the zeitgeist I am aware of this), khaki chinos or leggings. Or go to the gym in the morning and not get changed...

I'd seen those hush ones, what do you wear with them? And which shoes?

At home? Leggings. Out and about doing some shopping or whatever I have amassed quite a collection of different coloured jeggings. M&S and H&M have some good options.

Will be keeping an eye on this thread.

I too get stumped re what to wear at the weekend. For work I wear ankle length skinny leg work trousers which look really good and are pretty flattering. I have navy, black and black and white chequered ones. I went to a baby shower the other day and this girl had my chequered ones on with a slinky black top and black brogues with a big mulberry to complete the look. She looked simple, stylish and classy. But I was thinking 'I would feel a bit too 'smart' or worry that I look too 'smart' for the weekend.

Are skinny leg office type trousers acceptable at the weekend? I like wearing jeans and often do, navy and black, always skinny but sometimes, I want to something different!

Also, what are people's opinions on Blazers at the weekend? Again, I always feel too smart!

Apologies OP, I've just completely de-railed your thread 😳😳

Slouchy but short jumpers or short and fitted jumpers. Smile
Trainers or ankle boots with low top to avoid any hint of cossack. Must say I tend to default to the black and only wear khaki/olive with trainers. (Onitsuka tigers if you're interested)

This might not work for you if the cut of the jeans is the problem but I have a few pairs of trousers that are jeans but made of fabric rather than denim IYSWIM. I got them from M and S I think. They are a bit smarter than jeans but still really versatile.

Crash away simplecountrygirl. I wear the same yo work and feel too 'worky' if I wear them out of work

I need something I can just bung on when I roll out of bed but not need to change should I want to go out later so no PJs. I've ordered the hush joggers and a pair of harem pants too (how much??!! Shock)

I really find waistbands uncomfy, I think I'm just the wrong shape or a bit too fat

I do wear jeans a lot, but also at this time of year I like denim skirts or dresses with tights and boots. Very comfy and slouchy.

I have the same problem as you OP and as a result I just always wear skirts and dresses. Not helpful to you I know! I will be watching this thread with interest.

M&S jeggings in denim are great as 'jeans' tucked in boots. They have ones which sculpt your bum too (can't vouch for those as I haven't tried them), if you're a little flat of arse.

I'll crash as well. Don't like wearing work stuff at weekends or tights really. I think I want some sort of thick, jersey type of pants to pull on that are sort of straight legged ie not leggings.

In not hot weather I layer tops so I can go braless, not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm not so big that they move about. I pair these loose layers with skinnies. So not v helpful to you. Although it doesn't sound it, the look is smart while being not at all what I'd wear to work.

swedishedith I used to have that very thing. They came from the white company. Thick jersey, wideish, straightish legs and a fold over waistband. They were great but mine became my decorating trousers and they dont seem to make them anymore :)

3is I have both the joggers and the harems from Hush. They are quite generous but I would say take your 'usual' size.

Brax either cotton, cords or velvet depending on the season.
