I'm late 30s with combination skin, and feel I'm starting to look old! Anything too heavy will bring me out in spots but I feel like it's time to up my game a bit. I really like the Elemis pro collagen marine cream and oxygenating night cream but they're a bit too £££. Ideally I like an spf in day cream but I'm wondering whether I'd be better getting something like Clinique city block to wear over moisturiser instead?? I'd be really grateful for any recommendations, I've tried looking around but just confused myself further Confused. Thank you Smile

Lush vanishing cream. It's really really lovely, light enough for combination skin and smells beautiful. A little goes a long way but it sinks in beautifully and doesn't aggrivate spots but does deal with dry patches

I am 37 with oily skin and am prone to spots. I have finally found a moisturiser that doesnt break me out - Superdrug here. I very very rarely re-buy a product but I have been using this for ages because it is so good. I think I am on my 4th bottle.

Thank you everyone, I'm off to have a look at somebody these today. The cooler weather over the past couple of days has definitely made my skin more temperamental - it needs some tlc!

Body Shop oils of life is wonderful, but I am a bit older than you, so it may be a bit rich for you just now.

Avene!!

It's amazing I use the light weight moisturiser day to day and "comfort balm" when it's having a break out.

You get it in large boots. It's super light and doesn't block or cause breakouts but gets a really good moisturiser. A Make up artist recommended it to me so glad she did.

Lidl cien day cream. I use make up with sun block over it, as there is no sun block in the cream itself.

It's very gentle and caused no problems for me (I have rosacea). It's great.

I was feeling flush a few months ago and am now using Darphin's rosacea moisturiser- so gorgeous.

I have combination spot prone skin too and I have tried others, but I always come back to Clinique dramatically different lotion. They'll give you good sized samples if you ask.

Another recommendation for Avene! I have combination skin and I find the légère one perfect for morning and I use the riche one at night. The whole avene range is great.

Forgot to say, it was a dermatologist who originally told me about Avene.

Cerave Am moisturiser SPF 30. Best one I have used. Was recommended on the amazing faces thread. Amazon link

There is also a PM night cream which is fab. Not too expensive either.

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions. I've ordered the avene with spf so I don't have to get a separate product Smile
