Non flouncy/flowery midi dress?

Would love a few of these for autumn/winter to wear with tights/boots/leather jacket. But all the ones I've seen on websites and blogs are all fussy floral prints or have ruffles (I have short hair and feel ridiculous in frilly anything!) am pear/hourglass 5'4" size 12, dark hair, dark skin, suit most strong colours (nothing too light or pastel)

So, has anyone seen any nice non flouncy midi dresses anywhere? I'm not adverse to patterns (spots/stripes/geometric etc) just not anything granny/hippy/boho looking!

That's pretty (and a bargain) Running, but I was after something a bit more casual. I have to wear black to work so am trying to avoid it!

I like the second one you linked to Running, and love that grey jersey one Diamonds (but £70 is a bit excessive I think)

Don't want anything too 'bodycon' either (a lot of the non flowery dresses I've seen seem to be either totally shapeless or super clingy Confused)

I saw a snapchat of someone wearing this and now I want it too.

I love the plum one Whitecovers! Could later a long sleeve thin thermal underneath if colder. Wonder how clingy it would be? The one with sleeves is nice too but would prefer a darker colour as I think the light shade would be very unforgiving!

Thanks Karma. None of those quite right (and they don't look very midi on the model Hmm) like the shirt dress the best

Gosh I love all those Top Shop ones. I think a full length slip underneath would improve the otherwise risky cling problem.

Check out Oliver Bonas- they like their geometric print dresses, some in midi length too.

Just wanted to share. I ordered the first plum Topshop dress - love it! Nice heavy jersey and not too clingy. Wish they did a few more colours with long sleeves now!
