Help! I need a dress for my 40th!

I'm celebrating my 40th soon and would love a new dress that makes me feel great. Ideally it would be halterneck as my shoulders are my best bit, and not above knee length. I'd like to avoid a skater style too. Anyone seen anything lovely? I'm a size 8/10. I've seen a lovely Karen Millen dress but not sure I have a budget that large (though may splurge if I don't find anything as nice!)

Halter neck dress are rather rare so if you like the Karen Millen one go for it.

Another option is a cold shoulder dress, the Whistles elsie dress is lovely.
