Fitflops

I have bad knees and hips and my feet also hurt very easily.

The only things that dont hurt my feet are fitflops. I only have the sandals which obviousl dont work in winter.

Has anyone tried the flats, ballet pump type fitflops? Are they good if you have? I've seen some reviews that they dont fit well.

I have tried the trainers. They are very comfy and supportive. Haven't tried the ballet flats so probably not that much help!

I have some Fitflop sneakers and the ballet pumps and they are both really comfy. I've had the same pair of sneakers for years and they just don't seem to wear out! The pumps fit fine and I found them true to size, the only complaint I have is that the sole shape means it squeaks when I walk (similar comments on reviews so not just me!).

Yes Ive had a pair of my sandals since 2009 and the sole hasnt worn away and is in good condition still.

I've got the fringe sneaker loafer (!) ones. My feet really ache in most shoes but these ones are brilliant. They look smart, not showing massive wear (yet) and worth the money.

Haven't tried the ballerinas. But have several of and really like the skate shoes - so easy to slip on and the silver ones often get compliments.

superpug, I fancy those fringey sneaker loafers next. Which colour did you get? Am thinking of black patent.

They're a dark blue- not a colour I would normally get and didn't see black, when I was buying them. I think I may buy them in black later on. Awful name, brilliant shoes. Here's the link -

I would recommend the blue as it's quite an usual colour and has a lovely "oil slick" finish.
By the way, it feels like you're walking on two tiny mattresses...

I agree, both colours are lovely. Just seen the Oxford brogues on their website as well.
I found they looked a bit weird with dark blue wider work trousers but really nice with tapered black trousers or jeans. I've also worn them with black tights and they looked fine with that.
Perfect work shoes as I'm on my feet all day. We have a fairly smart clothes policy so I can't wear trainers but my feet wither up and die in heels after several hours.
I've tried to attach a photo of the shoe so you can have a better idea of the colour.

I have these, they are in cream and black. Very comfortable and still look OK, i got them on the sale site, Brand Alley for about £45-50. Over a year ago now.

I have sneakers and numerous pairs of the boots but don't get on with the ballet design at all.They're a much narrower shoe and my wide feet find them very uncomfortable.Are these Fringy shoes dainty like these?

The Fringy shoes are definitely for wider feet. They feel supportive and my feet don't tend to ache at the end of the day. The cream and black flats also look great.
Some ballet design shoes seem to be quite odd, in terms of fitting your toes in. I remember looking at a few shoes in the French Sole sale and it looked like my toes were spilling over the top of the shoe.

Thanks for the reassurance they work with black - hoped they would and thinking of wearing them with tapered navy and black trousers and ditto skinnies too if they look right.
Thanks for the comment that they're OK for wider feet too. Mine are not super wide but not narrow.

I've also looked at the ballerinas but found they didn't seem to work so well with the thick soles. Looked a bit too 'remedial'. Whereas thick soles on brogues and skaters look very current so don't have to sacrifice fashion completely.

I'm a 5.5 in normal shoes and a 5 in fitflop flip flops ... I'd love to try the boots or the sneakers but always put off by what size to go for ... Any advice welcome!
