Hello, everyday I pass a big bank of fig tress when I'm out walking with my baby and I am just obsessed with the scent so I am looking for a fig fragrance - something akin to the smell of the fig dyptique candle but as an edt or edp. Does anyone have any suggestions? X

Diptyque Philosykos is lovely.

I didn't know Dyptique dos perfume too, I'll check it out thanks X

MrsSeanBean Wed 14-Sep-16 17:19:11

You are in for a treat then smile
They do other fig scented products too:

God, philosykos is my favourite perfume. It is gorgeous.

MrsSeanBean Wed 14-Sep-16 17:24:31

Madrigal: agreed smile

I love Diptyque '34' too, as a home fragrance. It's heavier but think still has some fig notes (but I might have made that up). Makes a home smell like a boutique hotel.

What's your budget?
If you want something less £££ Womanity by Thierry Muegler is a great affordable fig.

MitzyLeFrouf Wed 14-Sep-16 17:52:35

Philosykos is heavenly.

Stories.com has a fig fragrance that is not bad value for 30€.
Ninfeo Mio from Annick Goutal is another favorite.
Look into Korres body products too.

FrustratedFrugal Wed 14-Sep-16 17:57:39

Korres

Philosykos is gorgeous. It mellows through the day. Wore it for many years, loved how the clothes & handbags in my wardrobe held the scent. Wafting down Philosykos memory lane I go grin

Pacifica fig is nice.

American site, but you can get it in the UK in organic supermarkets.

Thanks for the recommendations - I'm on maternity leave so my budget is tiny but it's my birthday next week smile

I can definitely empathise with this obsession OP - fig trees smell beautiful.
Thanks so much other posters for the philosykos suggestion- definitely off to check this out asap, have been looking for another fig based perfume for years.
If you're on a budget, The Body Shop do an Italian summer fig EDT www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/fragrance/eau-de-toilette/italian-summer-fig-eau-de-toilette/p/p000478
and have also had this before and thought it was lovely:

I would say the body shop fig scent is much greener and fresher than the Di palomo ( which is sweeter)

lasttimeround Wed 14-Sep-16 18:22:15

& other stories do a fig body most that's good. Cheap

ImYourWomanJonSnow Wed 14-Sep-16 18:53:20

Korres fig shower gel and body lotion feed my fig obsession on the cheap. The shower gel is currently £4 at Waitrose

blodynmawr Wed 14-Sep-16 18:54:54

Another vote for dipalomo linked by dontgo.
Independent dept stores round here stock it as well as JL.

I second The Body Shop one too for a budget option. It smells like summer.

choppolata Wed 14-Sep-16 21:21:33

Another vote for Body Shop summer fig here.

L'Artisan Parfumeur Figuier or Figuier L'Extreme, its usually expensive but they have it in TKMaxx reduced as they are updating the bottles.

Kennington Wed 14-Sep-16 22:06:19

I love the korres scent and use the body lotion plus the other stories shower gel. Other stories is great.
I wear philosykos, but the parfum last ok-well, but the toilette doesn't last 5 minutes so am a bit fed up with the brand because of it

gillyweed Wed 14-Sep-16 22:08:31

I came to say body shop too! I got it as a present recently, it's very easy to wear, smells a little mysterious/earthy and of summer1

calilark Wed 14-Sep-16 22:13:21

Agree with the Diptyque and Body Shop recs - I also love Roger & Gallet Fleur de figuier, which is sold in M&S and often known offer. The edp is much better than the toilette. But all 3 are lovely

CointreauVersial Wed 14-Sep-16 22:22:15

Ninfeo Mio is my favourite (Annick Goutal) - in fact I'm wearing it today. It's so warm and sunny.

Neste Dante do a fig and almond milk soap which is lovely. It is a huge bar and lasts ages and leaves a lovely, gently scent on your skin. Not a perfume but might be nice for layering.
