Need the perfect pair of jeans (holy grail)?

Help - am looking for a skinny pair of slightly distressed denim jeans with stretch for Autumn but can't get to shops to try anything. Am a pear shaped 10/12 on bottom and 5'6 and I need would like a pair of jeans that will go with everything. They need to be high-ish waisted, with good bum lift and stop at ankle, and ideally be supremely flattering on less than gazelle like legs.

The modern Mayfair skinny jeans from Boden look promising but no idea how they fit someone with curves.

I'm trying to avoid jeggings/supermarket jeans and I'm prepared to spend a bit more on something that looks like "real" jeans (iyswim).

Help me Mumsnet before I give up and surrender to my asda wonderfits...

I have a pair of slim leg from Debenhams collection which are highish waisted and a bit stretchy but still hold in iykwim. I always try Debenhams first for jeans because I can pick from lots of stores in one place.
Otherwise if I want a cheaper pair, I do like matalan. I'm also a 10-12

If you order from Boden there's a 20% off code A3V7 and free delivery and returns so you've nothing to lose by trying them.

Uniqlo ultra stretch denim jeans tapered skinny mid rise or higher rise. You want the shorter length. Really stretchy but look and feel like denim. £35

I'm a 16 trouser and take waist 32.

Thanks all. Will check out the uniqlo and top shop suggestions. I own a pair of the next slim & shape jeans which are quite good but the waist is a bit too low.

I've just bought a great pair from Fat Face actually - ankle grazer high waist skinnies.

I love Zara skinnies. Too long so you'll need to hem them but the fit is lovely.

The best jeans I've had in terms of getting compliments from other people and for comfort when wearing have been Sainsburys ones - there are lots of other people on MN that like them too.

And the other day I spotted their new premium range was in store - had some nice jeans with fabric that felt really nice - they didn't have my size in to try on as they were flying out of the store. But they would definitely be worth a try if you can get some in your size. Or even as a second-best pair if you find a really expensive pair you like and want to prolong their life!

I'm a pear shape too and I love topshop Jamie's. High waisted, enough stretch for my massive thighs+bum but thick enough not to highlight every lump and bum.

Confuugled1 - I do love Sainsbo's for most things and I have heard good things about the premium range. Will check my local store and see if they have any in stock. I find their premium black leggings amazing.

Rinceoir - I definitely am leaning towards the Jamie's. I used to wear Leigh's in my pre-kids days but I think I need something a bit more structured these days. Loved by the Kardashians apparently so good for those with generous lower halves!

I have a pair of Paige jeans that are really lovely. I had read that they are meant to make your butt look awesome, and whilst I'm not sure they're THAT good, the fit is really nice.

They do a good range of skinnies, but they are quite pricey.

Selfridges are the best with the widest range. A friend made an appointment and they did a scan thing and then chose six pairs for her to try. She said it was a brilliant service and actually bought four pairs all of them are beautiful. A couple of them were reasonably price.
