I cant do links sorry. Which of these two pairs of boots would you buy?

Doc Martens Caite Oily Illusion OR
Doc Martens Hazil Virginia.

I need new winter boots and really fancy a pair of Docs again.

I much prefer the second pair personally, but I love biker type boots.

I really like both of them but the lack of a zip on the hazel would be a deal breaker for me.

burnishedsilver That put me off slightly as well. I don't suppose that I could buy both pairs could I?

They're quite different and they'll last for years. Get both!
(I'm such a bad influence)

Second pair imo, but now I might have to get them myself too Grin

(I only lace my docs to the ankle then tuck the laces in, I am lazy Grin )

LOVE the first one. Think the laces would drive me insane though!

Prefer the hazil virginia but I also love biker boots. My similar dms I only lace to ankle too.

I've tried the first ones on and they looked ridiculous on me. I have skinny calves and they were far too big.

Like the second one the best - much more of a classic "Docs" look to them.

Tempted myself if I didn't have too many boots.

i love the second pair, but i had long lace up dms once, and tbh, the lace thing meant that i kept choosing easier shoes and eventually sold them on.

go for the zip pair

It's funny how they have become an investment isn't it? We used to wear them because they were 'cool'!

The laces don't really bother me, part of the joy of owning docs!

It's going to end up being both isn't it? I won't have to buy new boots for years though 😀

They do make a lace up pair with zips. Can't remember what they are called though
(I have five pairs...)
