Stylish hat...but I have curly hair...

We walk and kayak (family based stuff not olympic level). Keep finding myself squinting in the sun, even with shades on. Is there something other than a baseball cap that would offer me some protection from the sun? That would not make my messy, curly bob look crap? I know, I know if probably doesn't matter. Maybe I should just go baseball, but at 44 I kind of think I want something a bit more...stylish? Elegant?

I always wanted one of these but my head is a funny shape! Friend has curly bob and looks great in something v similar. Looks sporty but not too try hard. Google army hat - there are loads!

Is something like this what you are looking for? I think curly hair is the best for hats as it keeps it under control and then you can restyle once you take it off fairly easily

This is mine from new look. I had to get the biggest size to fit over my huge hair!

Was nice to keep the sun off my face and neck but not sure how it would fare for activities.

Ooo that Army hat may be just what I need. A bit of a twist on a baseball cap and yes, can see the curls working with it.

Love the bigger, floppy ones (have a similar one for the garden) but think they may be too prone to blowing away on the water.

DH has got a fab, heavyish leather Aussie like hat - but worry about looking a bit too "Cowgirl meets Dolly Parton"
