Best Tubing Mascara?

Aquamarine70 · 04/09/2016 04:19

I'm in Australia so can't get the No.7 one. I've tired Clinique Lash Power & it was dry & flaked. EL Zero Smudge dried after a few weeks. I tried Too Faced Lash Injection & it was dry. I had a sample of Blinc & was so so dry I couldn't use it. Are there any others I could try?

I've use Sensai 38C. It is a bit hard to remove but stays on well.
Do you pump the wand? That might cause the mascara to dry up too quickly. If you are in Australia, you can probably get some other Japanese brands as well, I think they originally invented tubing mascaras.

What's a tubing mascara?

Bobby Brown does a great one or Estée Lauder. I thought the No 7 one was crap to be honest so you're not missing anything.

I really love the blinc one and if anything found it really wet so had to be careful applying, could you try a different sample? It might be old. Otherwise Clinique lash power is lovely

I second Blinc. Currently have No 7 and the wand is rubbish

I second the Eyeko Rock Out Lash Out and like their Skinny mascara as well (also a tuber). Sensai 38C Volume is great too. All have never dried out on me (I keep mascara going for far longer than the suggested 6M) and no flakiness either. Although I do wonder how you're applying it since you seem to be getting the same result with all. I'm all about thin layers and letting them dry properly before applying another layer and don't do too many layers.

I've been looking at the DHC Mascara Perfect Pro Double Protection per recommendation of Lisa Eldridge but have yet to try it but sounds v. promising too.

Mac Opulash is the dogs. The absolute best. It's like a secret tubing mascara because they never advertise it as one.

You can get it online if you're out bush.

Also Mecca sell Kevin Aucoin and he does one but I can't remember the name.

Thanks everyone. I might try the Blinc one then as I think the sample was old.

I just tried the Eyeko Rock out & it smudged under my eyes.
I am a beauty therapist & make up artist so I don't pump the wand & know how to apply.

I don't keep mascara any longer than 3 mths but after 2 weeks the Zero Smudge had dried & the Lash Power was dry as soon as I used it.
I have eyelash extensions so only need mascara on the bottom lashes. I tried Bobbie Brown too & had smudges under my eyes.

I don't have oily eyes & don't put any creams on my lashes. I have tried eyelash primer but find mascaras even waterproof smudge on me.

The Lash injection worked but the tube was dry on opening. They let me try the tester on a disposable brush & it seemed more gooey but didn't smudge. When I bought the new tube it was all dry & hardly coated the lashes at all.

I am in Western Australia so maybe the heat affects the storage.

With the blinc apply any second etc... Layers immediately whilst still wet. I find an eye at a time rather than alternates helps the speed.

Sorry to derail but interested in the pumping the mascara tip - does that mean putting it in and out, or just up and down in the tube?

Pumping the mascara wand in and our is not a good idea as it forces air into the container and will dry the contents out.

Which Lash Power are you using? I think there are a few. I use the one in the greyish tube and find it brilliant. I only use it on my bottom lashes though as it doesn't give enough volume on the top and my bottom ones always smudge.

Can you get this one in Australia? It's the best one I've tried.

Kitkats28 we can't get that one here. We can get L'oreal but not that one.
I can't remember which Clinique Lash Power I used. I just remember it flaked. It was a while ago. I tried their Bottom Lash too & it was so dry when I opened it I had to return it. They gave me another one & it was the same.
I only want mascara for my bottom lashes as I have eyelash extensions so don't need it for the top.

Blinc mascara in my opinion is unbeatable. Used it for years and love it!

I'm completely smitten with Trish McEvoy's curling mascara, which is tubing. I haven't bought anything else since. You can get it online from Selfridge's and Liberty.
