Is there such a thing. Does anyone have any recomendations. Can't justify spending £45 plus on perfume at the moment unfortunately

I like M&S New York New York.

Amazon have some very good offers. Well worth browsing women's perfumes on there.

I also like the £3 smellalike perfumes from The Factory Shop. BlushBlush I used to work for Clinique and then Chanel but some of the £3 ones are pretty good! The Miss Daisy one smells identical to Marc Jacobs Daisy etc etc.

My favourite ever perfume is Stella but I can't justify the £50 plus tag at the moment but my cheaper new ones aren't too bad!

If you like rose scents Paul Smith's Rose perfume is usually on sale for about £20 on Amazon.

My fave cheapie perfume is SJP's Lovely.

I really like The Library of Fragance range at Boots. Loads of "natural" scents that smell just like their names - I have Sunshine, Fireplace and Fresh Ginger. They're very light and don't last long, but at £15 a bottle (sometimes on offer for £25 for two), you can just keep topping up.

What sort of perfume do you normally like/wear? Any favourite scents?

I quite like The Body Shop perfumes, they do a Gardenia one which is lovely and there's usually a £10 off voucher somewhere Smile

Also hear good things about M and S and Next perfumes, but don't know the ranges

If I want a new perfume but am skint (so all the time then Wink) I sometimes get a sample/decant - recently tried Kenzo Amour for £5/5 ml and am saving up for a big bottle now!

Also second squoosh - SJP Lovely is a great price for a good perfume.

Also like Deseo by J Lo, brilliant value and smells more expensive than it is, smells of coconut on me which I love.

what's the name of that site that does cheap as chips dupes? I've seen it before on Mumsnet but can never remember the name. I'm currently coveting a bottle of Miss Dior but at €70 it's not possible!

Next have some fairly decent offerings for less than £10. I recently bought one called Floral Bloom EDP which I use in the day.

Ernmas is it the Perfume Parlour? I've found them a bit hit and miss, but they are very good value if you find a good one!

I like the M&S Rosie ones, they have a couple of different ones from a lighter floral to a heavier musky one.

My favourite is Stella too but for cheaper options Paul smith rose is lovely, as is Kenzo Flower, I can't tell this apart from Marc Jacobs Daisy which is much more expensive. It's worth a trawl of eBay for cheap perfumes, sometimes people list stuff that's just had a few squirts out of the bottle. Body Shop moringa perfume is lovely too, and about 7 quid a bottle

The M&S New York perfume suggested above is really lovely. The newer one New York New York smells much more expensive than it is! Some of their other ranges are gorgeous and good value too like Shay and Blue and Monotheme.

Try TK Maxx too - have picked up some bargains from there the only problem being they don't have testers. I usually check out the Fragantica website to get an idea of the key notes and longevity.

Body Shop fragrance mist sprays are good value - have loads of these and they often last as long as the perfume for half the price!

Amor amor, £30 for a big bottle.

Elizabeth Arden sunflowers, less than a tenner for a huge bottle.

Check //www.allbeauty.com great prices there. My personal favourite cheapo is Madonna's Truth or Dare Naked which in that site is for £15.
I think Avon's Rouge by Christian Lacroix is also very good.

I have Next just pink.
I bought it just because I liked it but apparently it smells like Ralph Lauren Romance

M&S ones good generally I think. Isis is very like l'eau de Issey and Black Amber (which I only tried for a laugh as it's my name) is a dead ringer for Coco Mademoiselle.

There are some fantastic perfumes under £25.

I would recommend any of the following:

Yardley Jade ( similar to Chanel Cristalle)
Any of the Monotheme range in M &S
Anything by Molinard- see allbeauty.com for 100ml bottles under £20
SJP Lovely ( similar to Narciso Rodriguez, but very good in its own right)
JLo Deseo
Avon Cherish- not my personal taste but similar to La Vie est Belle
M&S Rosie for Autograph- smells a bit like Chloe
Coty L'Aimant- smells like Chanel No 5.
Issey Miyake A Scent- beautiful green notes.
Mary Greenwell Fire (spicy and gorgeous-try the Fragrance Shop)
The Body Shop Polynesian Tiare Flower ( similar to Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess)

That's just off the top of my head. Perfume doesn't have to be expensive. There's some excellent stuff out there.

I really like Next Rouge Absolue. It is very sweet though. Lots of their perfimes are lovely.
Also Primark have surprisingly nice scent for virtually no money. Some of them are dupes for much more expensive scents and last quite well given the price.

L'Aimant is gorgeous.

Anything that mimics Chanel no. 19 or Vera wang? Mat leave doesn't leave wiggle room for smellies...

Yes Bagel Dog- Jacomo Silences is similar to Chanel No 19 and costs under £25 for 100ml on Amazon. I recommend it.
