Just wondering what dress size you are?
Soon as baby has been born and I'm ready I am embarking on a serious weight loss/toning mission!
Will have five stone to lose to hit my goal.
I have five sacks in the loft of clothes in a size 10, not sure wether to keep them, or is size 10 at that weight and height unlikely?

I reckon that'll get you back into a ten. I'm 5'6 and 9st13 which puts me on the border of a ten and a twelve. Bear in mind your shape might change with pregnancy though!

Curlgurl Mon 29-Aug-16 18:13:20

I'm 5ft6 and can wear size 8 at lower than 10.5 stone.

maggiethemagpie Mon 29-Aug-16 18:13:29

No. But I wish I was. Many moons ago when I was this weight I was a size 10-12.

gammatron Mon 29-Aug-16 18:14:13

Not unlikely! I'm 5.5, 9st 11 currently in between a size 10 & 12. Pre baby I was 8.11 and a size 8 so def doable!

Kennington Mon 29-Aug-16 18:16:44

I am 5'5 and just under 9 stone and 12 on top and 8-10 on bottom
I used to be 8 stone without trying but age has ruined my metabolism.
I did find breastfeeding helped weight loss- but only if I didn't overeat too!

SlightlyperturbedOwl Mon 29-Aug-16 18:22:49

It depended on the amount of exercise I was doing so at that weight I was sometimes a size 8 and sometimes a 10. Body shapes vary so much don't they? Now I am just trying to get down to 10st sad

dogrilla Mon 29-Aug-16 18:36:20

Yes. I'm 5'4 and when I'm around 9 and a half stone I'm an easy size 10. Weigh a bit more at the moment so nearer a 12. Good luck with weight loss.

NorthFlameglitter Mon 29-Aug-16 18:41:22

I'm around 5'5 and am around 9st 9. I'm usually a size 10-12 in dresses because of,my chest and normally 10-12 tops/10 trousers and skirts. Would like to lose a bit more but hey, wouldn't we all?

thejoysofboys Mon 29-Aug-16 18:48:21

I'm 5'7.5" and 9st 6lb. I'm a perfect size 11 (if only they would make such a thing!). I have wide hips and shoulders and a 28FF chest with not a lot of weight anywhere else!
It just depends on your frame and how you carry your weight.

DobbyIsAFreeElf Mon 29-Aug-16 19:01:46

I'm that height and weight, I wear a 10 on my bottom half.
If a top has sleeves a size 8/10 but without sleeves I wear a 6.

Doobigetta Mon 29-Aug-16 19:35:11

Probably about that, maybe a couple of pounds heavier. I'm a 10 on top and a 12 on the bottom in most shops, can occasionally get into size 10 trousers.

FeliciaJollygoodfellow Mon 29-Aug-16 19:46:41

Pretty much my ideal weight (same height as you).

When I was last there I was very pre kids though so no idea if I'd still be able to fit into 8-10 as I could then. More likely 10 as I have/had and hourglass shape with big boobs.

AmberNectarine Mon 29-Aug-16 20:05:00

At that size I would be a 10. Am a stone lighter and a 6-8 at the moment.

AmberNectarine Mon 29-Aug-16 20:05:10

At that weight.

Swishtails Mon 29-Aug-16 20:53:48

I'm 5ft 5 and a bit

At 9st 7lbs I was easily a size 10. As pps have said, body shape changes so much between individuals.

What I'd give to be that weight again...currently trying to shift a fuck load of baby weight. SIGH.

Popskipiekin Mon 29-Aug-16 21:02:45

Sounds very doable. I am 5ft5(and a teeny bit!) and usual weight 61kg (which I've calculated is 9stone9?) which has always been a size 10, sometimes even an 8 if the sizing is verrrry flattering. Currently 25 weeks pregnant and that 61kg is looking pretty distant, but I got back down to it post last pregnancy so fingers crossed - and good luck to you OP!

RebelandaStunner Mon 29-Aug-16 21:03:01

I'm 5'5 and 9st 2. Mostly in 8-10.
8's being the bottom half- slim hips and small bum. Bigger boobs means 10 on top generally.

MermaidTears Mon 29-Aug-16 21:33:02

Great to hear that! Was so so long ago I was a ten, before the three kids in six years, never recovered in between before getting pregnant again!
I will get back to 9.8lbs!!! wink

Mrs9C Mon 29-Aug-16 22:19:54

Yes for both height and weight, but I wear a 12!

beardedladydragon Mon 29-Aug-16 22:34:04

I am 10st 4 and 5.6. Generally wear a 10 but sometimes a 12 or an 8. I have very narrow hips but wide shoulders so depends on the fit.

barefootbird Tue 30-Aug-16 07:25:33

Definitely keep the clothes! I an 5'5'' and currently hovering around the 9st 8lb mark, clothes on my bottom half are 8-10 and 10 on top.

I am aiming for 8st 7lb - 12lb which will be about 4 1/2 stone lost since DC4 (4 kids in 7 years) so your plan is definitely achievable. Having said that of the old clothes that I kept only a few remained as they were a little bit out of date, it was fun to get back into them though.

MermaidTears Tue 30-Aug-16 10:27:19

barefoot same will probably happen. I haven't gone through them they had been there or years. But I reckon at least a good few items should still be in date. Things that never go out of fashion. Skinny jeans etc and any lounge wear etc
I can't wait. I have a lot road ahead but I am determined to get back there!
Hopefully in time for my big birthday smile
