Caring for bleached/hi lighted hair - any products you'd recommend please?

Hello! Have had my mid brown hair bleached and want to keep it in good condition. My style is choppy but I am keen to add lots of shine too. I know smooth styles are better at showing off shiny hair but I would really love a glossy look on my new platinum style. I realise there are many supposedly fantastic products on the shelves but I know I can trust the recommendations on here so here's hoping!
Thanks, Tia

Fellow blondie here Smile. After a lot of 'research' in this area (basically buying loads of different products looking for the holy grail and leaving most of them gathering dust in my bathroom) here are my favourites;

A purple toning shampoo for bleached hair is a must to keep brassiness at bay. I love Lee Stafford Bleach blonde shampoo (Boots)

I use an intensive conditioner every time. Tresemme Specialist Oleo Radiance mask is brill. Anything containing argan oil gives good shine.

Pantene have just brought out a new one, Pantene Expert hyra intense (black tub) which makes hair nice and swishy.

Before drying, I smooth a blob of Elvive Extraordinary Oil on. Gives great softness and shine without any greasy feel. (You only need a small amount.)

Hope that helps.

Wow, thank you SO MUCH for that Grin I have plenty to go on there. I do have the Extraordinary Oil but haven't even opened it yet. Interesting to hear that you deep condition every time too - makes sense when you think about it!
Thanks again, Tia.

Yes, I am a product junkie Blush. You might not need such intensive conditioners but after years of bleach, my hair needs the help!

I bought this m.lookfantastic.com/evo-fabuloso-colour-intensifying-conditioner-platinum-blonde-250ml/10832045.html?_ga=1.262351684.918180523.1453762315

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I would never have believed the difference it made. I had highlights in May, am going seriously blonde in September but this is keeping me going until then

I have bleached hair (though it's a crop if that makes any difference). I use CheapAsChips Touch of Silver purple shampoo and conditioner. I also put a tiny amount of big-standard conditioner (co-op own brand atm) on damp hair and leave in - this keeps it soft and shiny. The only expensive product I use is Scott Cornwall Colour Restore toner in Chrome, which also acts as a conditioner.

I love Moroccan Oil light for when I'm blowdrying my hair. The original formula is too heavy as my hair is fine.

Fudge's Violet shampoo and conditioner are brilliant, and super cheap from Amazon.

Kerstase does a range in green bottles and the heat protector is called Ciment Anti-Usure and is just brilliant, as is the conditioner from the same range.

Philip Kingsley's Elasticizer is great, too, for a once-a-week treat, and he does a supplement that I've been taking for a year or so and my hair is much stronger since taking it regularly.

I also use Lee Stafford Bleach blonde shampoo but only i nthe week or so after i have it done.. then go back to Charles Worthington moisture seal shampoo which I find the best for keeping my hair soft.

With this I use: Bleach london silver conditioner ( Boots , cheap and I reckon th ebest.. )
and Charles worthington moisture seal leave-in conditioner, which leaves it nice and spiky , (almost like using a gel , but not at all sticky)

When i was in Greece this year ( v hot..) and also quite a lot of the summer here ,(as I have been swimming a lot) i have also used Aveda Damage Remedy leave-in conditioner ( expensive, but you only need a little)

I have my hair cut every 5 weeks though , ( pixie cut ) and so do bleach it a lot ) Hairdresser always comments on how soft my hair is!

Oooh I am listing all of these! I love the sound of the Chrome colour restorer and the Fudge products Smile My hair is a spiky crop and I want it to look very stark and bright.

I have had bleached hair on and off for years. It is currently short pixie, I have recently discovered Lush Purple Daddyo shampoo and it is amazing. Leaves my hair a lovely clean white blonde and soft enough that I no longer condition with every wash.
