Does your DD wear a coat over her school blazer?

I'm sure it's not cool to wear a coat but we're in the country and DD will have to walk to the bus and it rains from October to June
Has anyone found a waterproof for an 11 year old which will fit over a blazer? We tried on a couple of North Face ones the other day but none that would fit over a blazer ( way too skinny in the sleeves)
Has to be plain black or navy and I'm thinking something that could be stuffed into her bag once on the bus for the sake of coolness.

My dd has a thin feather soft one that fits over her blazer . It also folds up into its pocket as its not cool to wear it at school or carry it around . We got it in tk maxx .

Unlike boys, many girls use an umbrella (as they want to keep hair and make up in place.)

Dd has an umbrella as she has nowhere to put a jacket once she gets to school

All the children happily wear coats over blazers at ds1's school - mainly black parker style coats with furry hoods.

Ours arent allowed to wear indoor jackets in school (secondary) so unless you have a locker you have to carry it about with you. Dd has no locker so doesn't want to take a jacket

My three DDs have all had a total aversion to wearing coats of any sort during their secondary school years.

DD1 is 21 now and had about outgrown this phase by the time she hit her twenties.

DD2 will soon be 18 and is no longer too bad either.

DD3 is 14 now and would still prefer to extract her own teeth than wear a coat to school.

Teenagers are funny things, and it tends to start around the age of 11, if not a little before.

Coats were among the most uncool things, about on a par with parents if mine are anything to go by.

Good god no! Maybe a big scarf and an umbrella if it's really bad

In Yr 7/Yr8 she wore a Superdry mesh lined waterproof over her blazer (they were considered "OK" )
In Yr 9 a parka (navy or black) in winter

I think in wet weather just a brolley (they have huge handbags for school and fold up tiny brollies)

DS however, refuses any sort of coat or waterproof. Even in the middle of winter . No jumper, short sleeved shirts.
If I wanted a coat on him I'd have to sew it on and he'd have chewed it off by 8am.
He's going to 6th Form in sept so his choice !

Dd has never worn a cost even in really cold weather. I dint think they like to carry them around all day.
She only has a. Five minute walk but sometimes it makes me shiver just seeing her walk off in a thin blazer.

DD has a superdry waterproof 'boat' coat and constantly wears it unless it is boiling. Mind you she feels the cold and isn't really that fussed over others opinions.
