Thought I had bought sexy bras and they are not. Bigger boobs curse.

So I thought I would go and buy some new underwear that was a good fit and also 'sexy'. So bought curvy Kate bras in red and black and they fit great. I was excited for my husband to see me in the new bras. But after a moment of clarity I've realised my sexiest bra is one that I bought in la senza ages ago and that is half cup way too small.

I am a 30e. My new bras have thick awful straps and are full cup. Even in red looks like something women of a certain age would wear.

Really fed up. Sigh.

It's all right having a well fitting bra but what I think I'm going to take them back and just get some sexy stuff that doesn't fit at all but makes me feel good about myself.

And my new bras create all sorts of unflattering lumps and bumps! My old la senza one makes me look toned and smooth! No lumps and bumps at all!

Rant over. Sorry.

Maybe go to La Senza and see whether they have anything decent?

I hear your pain completely.

I was a 30E and am now a 32E after a little weight gain.

Unfortunately, manufacturers seem to look at the letter 'E' and decide that we all need Full Cup bras, without stopping to realise that a 30E and a 32E are actually quite small and in my case at least I certainly do not need a Full Cup bra!!

I long to wear sexy plunges, balconettes, or half cups, but unfortunately all I can find (without paying extortionate amounts) are these Full Cup padded bras.

Oh and the straps are also always very thick and sturdy - unnecessarily so!!

It is most frustrating!!

lockedout yeah maybe you're right. Just with all this talk on here on bra intervention and how important it is... Doesn't feel important to me at all right now. It's just too that normal bra places don't sometimes do a 30back. My other one is a 32 so as I said not a good fit really....

I'm an E cup at the moment and I got quite a few nice bras in M&S that actually fit really well. A lot of them are full cup but the Love Rosie ones are really pretty and they don't have big thick straps.

I also noticed that the 30Es and 32Es always have a very high central gore, it is very matronly yet again these size boobs just don't need so much scaffolding. It's so depressing.

I understand your pain (32GG)

Have you used Bravissimo? Still, not super sexy, but a lot more choice for big boobs that the usual selection of ginormous white things.

Thanks dancing it's good to know it's not only me! And no I certainly don't need full cups, my boobs are pert and high already! The full cups create all sorts of situations around the edges bear he underarm which has never been a problem area with my body at all.

Yes it's either something costing nearly a hundred quid it it's matronly and bloody awful.

Our boobs are supposed to be sexy but strap them into these contraptions and they're certainly not.

Wonderbra & lejaby make some nice cuts in e + cups. I have some sexier balconettes from them, I'm a 32E or F, depending on the make/bra/cut

I'm a 32FF and have given up trying to find anything particularly sexy, but Freya come the closest.

The Wonderbra ones I have are pretty padded though so can make big boobs (or relatively big boobs) look HUGE. I do have to think about what I wear with them, as I have a small frame but quite a large bust (proportionally).

Sorrel lots of nice ones there - strangely enough my curvy Kate ones are plunge but honestly still hideous - out of your links the curvy Kate ones are my least favourite - it's good to know it's just that brand I don't like and it's not the entire world of bras!

I got some gorgeous underwear from Victorias Secret. v similar to La Senza (thin straps/half cups/plunge etc..) Im a 32DD but can fit in a 34D or 36C too at a push & depending on style. I agree re Curvy Kate & Bravissimo - both so matronly.

TBH I don't own any Curvy Kate bras as they don't work on my shape at all!

I stick to Cleo and Ewa Michalak.

That must be so annoying. It's all very well having a limited range of bras if you actually do need specialist support for big boobs. But 30E is really not particularly big at all.

If none of Sorrel's links work for you you could just try on every pretty 32DD you can find, because there's a lot more choice in that size, and there's a decent chance that some of them will fit you especially and adjust the back size.

Might be worth trying John Lewis. Because they fit using the interventionist way they do stock their "normal" (YKWIM, the ones without heavy duty scaffolding) bras in a wider range of sizes for women who have small-medium breasts despite the D-G cup headline.

eg this dull but not over-engineered bra which they stock in a 30F.

The problem is - although as a 32E I can fit in a 34 or 36 back with a correspondingly smaller cup size - it gives me terrible backache and sore shoulders.

I'm a 30F and mid twenties so not quite ready for the fuller cup type bra just yet. I get some great bras and bikinis from ASOS filler bust range that still look really sexy without the huge straps etc.

Recently ordered a Victoria's secret 32dd bra and it's fantastic. Wonder bra also do a great strapless in a larger cup size that really supports.
