I used to go to rewind and didn't ever dress up. Just wore jeans and converse. Not much help, sorry.

Anything Madonna wore in Desperately Seeking Susan. Totally loved her style then and now.

When I went a couple of years ago it was about 90 in the shade, so I ended up in a ra-ra skirt, knotted teeshirt and loads of neon beads and bangles. Originally I wore leggings underneath, but they came off in the heat.

We swerved the camping and stayed in the Hilton in Reading. <lightweights> I ended up sharing a lift, in full regalia, with one of the Stoke players, who were also staying in the hotel. I felt compelled to explain to him that I didn't always dress like that....And Doctor & The Medics and Kool & The Gang were propping up the hotel bar when we got back that evening.

Have a fab time!

are people still dressing up for this? Not been for years.

Oh don't go as a caricature OP! I hate pp wearing bloody rara skirts and neon leg warmers. I don't remember anyone dressing like that, we were much more stylish. I used to wear 50s vintage, or lots of cool black.

Depends on your shape and current look really, what do you look good in? Who were your female style icons from that era? Debbie Harry, Siousie Sioux?

Also...what's the weather forecast?

Ahem, I had a rara skirt in shocking pink and one in lime green and I was immensely stylish wink

But I agree with Destinys other point. double denim feels like a missed opportunity - especially if you're in the VIP tent - when there were so many different 80s looks: New romantics, Goths, Two tone, Hip hop, Dallasty...

As well as the individuals listed, you've got Boy George, Annie Lennox, Grace Jones, Pauline Black, Robert Smith, Neneh Cherry, Stevie Nicks... all had their own distinctive style and isn't Adam Ant supposed to be playing?

If it was me, I'd probably go for one of these two:

And Pah to not getting dressed up at all.

I did Madonna style- black lace, bows, silver crosses. DH really pushed the boat out and wire a Frankie says Relax t-shirt!

We went about 5 years ago and had a great weekend.

Oh now confused but with lots of great ideas! To tell you the truth I've seen a lot of neon tutu's for sale but can't remember ever wearing one 'back in the day'. DH Going as Tom cruise in top gun...oh dear a lot of dad dancing going to be going on!

Wish I was going. Been twice and really enjoyed it! Think you're gonna have good weather too...😀☀️
